Since Light and Hakkasan haven't opened yet, XS and Marquee compete against each other on their nights of business. With AMG running Hakkasan I doubt that it will actually be a real competitor against XS and Marquee. Beyond its grand opening celebrations and initial new club draw, it is going to be a Tier 2 at best. Mau5 will be a draw but my spider senses are tingling with "clusterfuck" for Hakkasan. MGM overall will get a lot more business though.
Light is the only wild card. Wynncore and Marquee have bought up so much of the popular DJ talent that those who go to venues specifically for DJs will still be frequenting those establishments. I think Light is going to do well, but it won't actually displace XS or Marquee from the top. If they do, it won't be for at least another year/year and a half.
As far as having a good time at a Tier 2 venue: absofuckinglutely.
