I too like this format, so I'm going to borrow it. To begin, I'm from Denver. so while Vegas isn't that far away, it's still something that gets more attention and planning than a simple weekend trip to somewhere.

What exactly do you look for when planning your trip?
A great time. The clubs are consistently good on the nights that we're there are the ones we want to go to, tier not really being a factor. A good looking crowd is always a factor.
Do you want to go to a club with a big name or would you rather go to a club a step down where you know you will get great service?
We like to do both during the trip, but we usually spend more money where we get better service. Big name performers will grab our attention, where as celebrity hosts or birthday parties won't. You can't ever hang with those people anyways.
Would you go to a club for a Dj or would you go to a club for a great party?
A good DJ usually has a good party. That being said, we'll usually go with a great party if we have to make a choice. All the DJs come through Denver, so we can see them here if we miss out on them in Vegas
Does it matter where the hosts are that you like?
    Yes
And last would you rather spend 1500-2000 on a table at a club knowing you will be in the back or outside or spend 1500-2000 at a tier 2 club and be put on the dance floor in the middle of the madness?
    The better value usually wins

I want good service no matter what tier club I'm at. BS isn't cheap.

I generally would choose a worse spot in a tier 1 than main dance floor in tier 2. I go to Vegas so much because I want a club experience I can't get in SoCal. Tier 2's can still be very fun, I'm just less likely to get BS at one. B2G1 or B1G1 can obviously change that.

I don't care who's spinning but a lot of people do including a lot of attractive women so big names can make a difference. Less important at tier 1's since they always have a good crowd.

I will sacrifice music for crowd (prefer hip hop but XS remains my favorite Vegas club). If I do go to a tier 2 I want to hear hip hop and I realize the crowd may not be as good but all you need is one.

Edit - I will say that after my last trip if I'm in a large mixed group, crowd matters less and music matters more so I'm more likely to do a tier 2 that is open format vs a EDM tier 1

        1. Name of Club
        2. DJ
        3. Best table location for the $
        4. Service
        5. Atmosphere/ Great Party (Doesn't really matter, because top tier clubs always have great nights. In addition to the DJ I am coming for, a large crowd usually follows.

Though, I've never done bottle service before. I will be down at the end of June, but my bros are being bitches and don't want to put in for a table (they think it's a waste of money) and I want to do it at least once in vegas. Know any hosts from experience that can get me a mad deal? I'm thinking probably marquee or surrender.

What exactly do you look for when planning your trip?
Well first thing is hotel room and clubs located where I am staying. I like to stay in the hotel with the club I will be visiting unless I get a really good price on room and it's close by to club or club has something going on I really want to go to.

Do you want to go to a club with a big name or would you rather go to a club a step down where you know you will get great service?
Personally I am more into service. Sure a big name can peak my interest but problem I have is it can be too crowded then and not as stellar service so that could hurt my enjoyment.

Would you go to a club for a Dj or would you go to a club for a great party?
A great party. I love all types of music so as long as it isn't to horrible music selection I am all about the party.

Does it matter where the hosts are that you like?
Yes it actually does matter. A lot of hosts I use, I keep there numbers and reuse them again because if they are good and give good customer service I want to be tipping them. It's a give and take so by reusing a host sometimes they actually are able to help me with better deals then just calling the venue reservations hotline. A good host makes me feel like I matter even if I don't spend a ton of money.

And last would you rather spend 1500-2000 on a table at a club knowing you will be in the back or outside or spend 1500-2000 at a tier 2 club and be put on the dance floor in the middle of the madness?
Now this one is kind of tricky. If it's my celebration and I have friends with me I would rather be dance floor at tier 2. Now for friends celebrations they have wanted that tier 1 experience so I had to settle for table in the back. I have had the dance floor table and the table in the back and regardless I had good times. So would I like a dance floor table well yes it is better deal but it isn't a deal breaker to be in the back.

Hope I was able to help.
          Clubs I have visited:
          Blush(Closed)
          Tryst
          Vanity
          LAX
          Lavo
          Pure
          XS
More to come in the future(Hopefully!)

Great question! I think that any club in Vegas is a bigger experience than what you can find locally.
I think people are wanting that VIP experience, so I would say the Service is most important. If I see a favorite DJ spinning at a Tier 2, I would prefer to see that DJ than an unknown at T1.

            Service
            Atmosphere
            DJ
            Table Location
            Name of Club

What exactly do you look for when planning your trip?
A place where my group will be treated well and a fun environment that isn't so packed that you can't even have a good time.

Do you want to go to a club with a big name or would you rather go to a club a step down where you know you will get great service?
Service is probably the most important part of this question. If my group is paying for BS, then we should be treated like we are paying for BS whether it's at a tier 1 or tier 2.

Would you go to a club for a DJ or would you go to a club for a great party?
Never for a DJ. Especially when the place is going to be so packed that you can't even move. Too many fights and people are way too irritable and the vibe eventually turns to shit at some point throughout the night. As long as the DJ isn't playing a ton of EDM, then I'm usually cool with it.

Does it matter where the hosts are that you like?
The hosts matter. But then again, if the other criteria is met meaning good service and good atmosphere then usually your host has played a successful part in that. On the flip side, a host can make a negative impact too and if that happens then it leaves a bad taste in your mouth for sure.

And last would you rather spend 1500-2000 on a table at a club knowing you will be in the back or outside or spend 1500-2000 at a tier 2 club and be put on the dance floor in the middle of the madness?
This one is easy for me to answer because I never look to have a dancefloor table. Too crowded.

                Order of importance:
                1. Service - from the Host and staff
                2. Atmosphere & Clientele
                3. Service - good deal for the $$$
                4. Host
                5. Tier 1 vs Tier 2

DJ...not even on my list as important. Like I said, as long as not a lot of EDM, then I'm cool.

What exactly do you look for when planning your trip?
Well balanced, fun time. Good Service, Good Music, & Good People.

Do you want to go to a club with a big name or would you rather go to a club a step down where you know you will get great service?
A consistent, "go-to" place where you know what you're going to get every time usually wins out over a the newest of the new. Not saying that a new place can't be great; it takes time to work out the kinks and establish a good rapport.

Would you go to a club for a Dj or would you go to a club for a great party?
Great party. Personally not going to the club for a show/concert.

Does it matter where the hosts are that you like?
Eh, hosts are just part of the picture. Personally, it wouldn't be a make or break thing if "my favorite host" no longer worked at a place I loved going to.

Would you rather spend 1500-2000 on a table at a club knowing you will be in the back or outside or spend 1500-2000 at a tier 2 club and be put on the dance floor in the middle of the madness?
Option 2. Most people want the most bang for their buck and want to feel like they are getting something "premium" when buying table service; not as though they were an after thought.

VERY well put on all accounts.

It seems like most of these questions could be answered just by the clubs sales and success. Unless, your just surveying your customer base. Although, the majority of the JC customer base don't even post.

Do you want to go to a club with a big name or would you rather go to a club a step down where you know you will get great service? Big name. Would you go to a club for a Dj or would you go to a club for a great party? Usually try to do both, at the same time or on different nights(one night big name dj, another night just a great party). Does it matter where the hosts are that you like? Yes, I want to make sure the people that take care of me are returned the favor. Also makes it alot easier dealing with someone youre comfortable with and can trust to make something happen. And last would you rather spend 1500-2000 on a table at a club knowing you will be in the back or outside or spend 1500-2000 at a tier 2 club and be put on the dance floor in the middle of the madness? Probably the latter but I'll cough up more $ for a better location at a tier 1 if I deem it necessary. Just wanted to know some questions had some debates in meetings today. ALL feedback is welcome
                      My answers are in bold.

for my point of view, i would see what dj's are playing where first and then decide...

lets say a tier 2 club had a DJ i knew would bring it and put on a good show, I'd go see them. But if the dj's playing that night are slim pickings then Id just go to see which djs i want to see.

so all in all, the DJ's i want to see decide where I want to go.

Chad, I'm glad we finally got to meet, albeit briefly amongst all the people during Tao, the Cheeseburger incident and Marquee.

Just wanted to take a quick poll and being a Host (one of 5 million) in the city of las vegas wanted to know a few questions.

What exactly do you look for when planning your trip?
Depending on the occasion, TBH, I'd rather go with people that know what Las Vegas is to me, than people that go there to gamble (I RARELY GAMBLE). So, I look for a place that I know will be filled with a good vibe (read: fun, outgoing and attractive people). I could care less if they're "hot" and would rather prefer people who are cute than "hot". Really, who needs to be around someone as dumb as a bag of hammers? Those that were there for the Cheeseburgers weekend knows what I'm talking about...a couple of the girls were like dead fish (Seriously GTFO)

Do you want to go to a club with a big name or would you rather go to a club a step down where you know you will get great service?
Great service to me is all about honesty. I don't care so much for big names, though I prefer a DJ performance over a celebutante hosting. Celebutante hosting is so over & it's garbage to me. I prefer great service over all. The past few times, I've tried to switch it up between so-called "Tier 1" and "Tier 2" places and I've been happy with both.

Would you go to a club for a DJ or would you go to a club for a great party?
I'd prefer to go to a club for a great party. I've experienced some so-so nights with deaumau5 (whose set was "meh" & a clusterfuck night with a great producer/DJ like Steve Aoki vs. an unforgettable night with Clinton Sparks at the previous incarnation of Sunday School at Body English).

Does it matter where the hosts are that you like?
Not really, but I feel it can help as I feel they'd be able to provide more personal service than if s/he were to refer me to someone. Personally, I don't feel comfortable cold contacting anyone. I'd prefer to put a face to the name & get to know him/her on a first name & face basis.

And last would you rather spend 1500-2000 on a table at a club knowing you will be in the back or outside or spend 1500-2000 at a tier 2 club and be put on the dance floor in the middle of the madness?
                          Personally I don't care. It's the people I'm with.

Just wanted to know some questions had some debates in meetings today. ALL feedback is welcome.

I come to Vegas to party. Coming from blue collar Baltimore where the bars are the big thing, I really like to go clubbing in Vegas. And since I can only get to Vegas once or twice a year if I'm lucky, I try to hit different clubs every trip. GBDC being the exception, because I had such a great time (thanks to a great host and a great party) and I'll go every chance I get.

Do you want to go to a club with a big name or would you rather go to a club a step down where you know you will get great service?

Great service makes the trip, and I'll recommend places where I received great service to friends. I'll go to whatever club JC posters recommend for the time that I'm trying to have, regardless of the names. I like to do one "mega" club, and the rest will be smaller clubs.

Would you go to a club for a Dj or would you go to a club for a great party?

Great party, don't care about the DJ. I actually prefer the lesser known DJ's to keep the minimums down and get more bang for the bucks.

Does it matter where the hosts are that you like?

I try to get to places where I've had great host experiences, but I don't get to Vegas enough to build tight relationships. I rely on the hosts relationship with JC posters and hope that they know that I will treat them right and expect the same in return.

And last would you rather spend 1500-2000 on a table at a club knowing you will be in the back or outside or spend 1500-2000 at a tier 2 club and be put on the dance floor in the middle of the madness?

I'll take the best that I can get for the type of party I want to have. If my group wants to go to a tier 1, I let them know what we can get for our money and we don't expect the best seating. But if I'm meeting the minimum for table service, I expect to be treated just like everybody else that paid for table service regardless of the table location...within reason of course. At a minimum, don't try to take my table before I'm ready to leave!!

This an awesome thread Chad. Always nice to feel like the hosts are interested in what the guests are thinking.
