  • Vegas during March Madness

Is it more seemingly filled with guys during this time of year? And are the pools open this time?

Planning a trip that happens to fall during March Madness and debating if I should plan around it for pool, weather, crowd, etc.

    Thanks for any input!

I believe most are open in April and we'll miss it by a couple of weeks.

Several pools open in March. Whether they will be worth going to will depend on the weather. It could be 85 degrees or it could be 55.

There will be a lot of guys in town but still plenty of women.

March Madness is an amazing time in vegas. If you time it right you can do St. Patricks day too. Go to Oshea's and you will see some of the most ridiculous things you could imagine. Not to mention a "little person" dressed as a leprechaun passing out car bombs. I Have been the last 3 years and there have been no shortage of women either.

You wont be going to O'Sheas again. Its gone. Ive done 3 MM and the weather is hit or miss. Usually spring breaks are going on so that is nice for crowds

As for being out there during MM, being in the sportsbook is kind of annoying. We bet sports all day and night out there but there is literally no room to move in most of them. Best thing to do is figure out next days bets and run down there in the morning and then go to a bar someplace to watch them.

It's the NCAA men's basketball tournament. The first round starts Tuesday, March 19 and the national championship game is Monday, April 8. The first week and the last week will probably be the most crowded in Vegas.

CRAP! my Priceline bid of $125 per night for a 5* in the South Vicinity Strip is going to get accepted but its pretty much out of my budget after taxes etc. =(
