I have been to Vegas a few times but have never been during EDC weekend. About 8 of us bought VIP tickets today and we plan on just getting to EDC by a limo, has anyone had any experience doing this? How far in advance should we book the limo or can you just do it the day of?

Also was just wondering what we can expect as far F&B minimums at the dayclubs like WR, Tao Beach, EBC and MDC? I know it will depend on what day of the weekend for each but what type of increase compared to a normal weekend can we expect?

Also any other tips for EDC in general appreciated.

id say that entire week (if they're doing edc week again) will have a bump in mins just due to the names that will be playing at each club. i was there last year for edc and the clubs were packed

I'd have to limo reserved before you go, and you'll have to leave early unless they completely fix the traffic problems.

Judging by the hotel rates for that week/weekend, I'm thinking Memorial Day weekend or Labor Day weekend prices at the clubs.

With the kind of money to be made from playing a club like XS or Marquee, is it safe to assume some major DJs will swing by and play a show while they're in town?

I was there last year for EDC week, and the majority of big names that were playing EDC played at least one show at the clubs. Sometimes they were scheduled appearances, sometimes they were surprise sets. I didn't do bottle service, but I heard from a few others mins were high, on par with LDW prices.

I Cant wait for EDC 2013! I took a limo last year and it took forever. Make sure you have a limo driver who know what their doing. Leave early and try to get out there before dusk. My group missed out on a lot of fun. Table service is also a great option. You have plenty of space and private bathrooms. I would highly recommend it!

I went during EDC weekend before and with it being the summertime the clubs are packed regardless. The only time we saw everybody heading to the festival was before they would leave for the club and at pool parties sometimes too before the festival. The DJs are there as if it was LDW but I dont remember prices being as high as LDW. Im convinced I will never go LDW again lol. They do treat it more like a holiday weekend though. But overall you can definitely still get deals on cabanas and etc that weekend. I remember a group of guys I was with got a table at the Marquee by the pool for 1K EDC weekend and Roger Sanchez was the DJ. So no worries if you arent actually attending the festival bc Vegas is basically EDM'ed out now so you will get to hear so of the best for 1/16 of the price of the festival. I know its not the same experience but close your eyes and make it what you want lol.
