Hosted Entry Etiquette?

I have read lots of good info regarding tips for bottle service, etc.

However, if you're friends are cheap bastards, and you find yourself in line, then you text a host to walk you in, what is the expected etiquette in terms of host tip? Likely 3 guys to our group.

If your friends are cheap bastards (even if they're not, but don't want to do bottles) I recommend buying presale. Save yourself the hassle, and the line won't be more than 10-15 minutes usually.

If you would still rather skip the line and not do presale, I think your best bet is to text the host for the club you're at or want to go to, and just ask directly. From what I've seen on this forum (especially this thread: http://forums.jackcolton.com/showthr...d-on-the-topic), $20/guy + admission cost is about right.

This weekend I would do presales. Walk-ins will likely be high.

For tier 1 venues such as Marquee/XS, the expected norm is 30-50 per guy depending on how busy the door is and how many guys in your group and any previous conversation with said host. 30 for a regular thing with just a couple guys. if you have a big group of guys at peak hours then 50 per is expected simply because it's harder to justify a big group of guys on a busy door with no table. we generally have to write you in as a table add when we do hosted entry so a big group of guys makes it harder.

certain hosts may ask for much higher handshakes up to 100 a guy. it all depends on the host and how busy the club is.

im going with my boyfriend this summer(the week before edc). its looking like it will be him his friend and three girls...we arent doing a table im sure bc we arent the baller type and ive done table service b4 and cant honestly say it was worth it. but if we split up do you think we will have a better chance of getting in? (me and bf) (his friend and my two girlfriends) we are willing to pay presale bc thats what i usually do to avoid hassle with doorguys....i've only done it a few times and lucked up everytime but i dont honestly like to do it lol. whatcha think?

Presale is the safe bet. Walk in plan is Baller still but have a good handshake for your host. Group of 5 I'd say $250- $300

If the girls are hot contact a host for guestlist and have the guys buy pre sales... safest bet is just buy pre sales and not worry about it.
