i was shocked to see rusko was playing at XS....whoever signed that walking disaster needs to have their employment at wynncore reevaluated imo.

also surprised they signed skrillex tbh. ive read some stories on his past shows in LV (2 fistfights breaking out on the dancefloor, one girl just getting kicked for no reason, etc) and the crowd he draws in no way caters to the high-end wynncore crowd.

also surprised they would sign lil'john, will.i.am, and jermaine dupri....not exactly the EDM crowd theyre going for. maybe we are seeing a transition to hip-hop for tryst/surrender?

How often does Skrillex even play there (or any nightclubs, for that matter)? I feel like he's doing a lot more large scale stuff these days. Regardless, you're going to have some bad apples here and there, especially when you get a high energy crowd filled with douchebags hopped up on Red Bull and vodka. But there isn't really a way to weed it out unless you invent a "meat head" scanner to weed out the assholes at the door.

As for Lil Jon, and people of his ilk, they've been doing their thing at Tryst and Surrender, and it keeps the Top 40 crowd coming in. It's a good move for Wynncore to retain them.

Yeah it seems Skrillex only plays like 3-4 times a year. He did come on at 4am at Tryst over Memorial Day Weekend which could have led to some angry people. Presale tickets were $100 female and $300 male so he brings in some coin when he does come.

As for Lil Jon, I actually had a great time at Tryst when he was there, probably doesn't cost too much to book at this stage in his career, and can fill in a pinch kind of like Manufactured Superstars.

Lol... Well, I am the girl that posted about being kicked and the fistfights. But that was my third time seeing Skrillex in Vegas, and the first time I've ever seen crowds like that. My commentary was more on the people out and about than the people he was drawing in.

And like the person above stated, he brings in good money. The clubs are always packed when he plays, and a lot of people are willing to dorp serious cash to see him. It's like Hakkasan signing Deadmau5 - he's boring to see perform live, but people love him and will pay good money to see him.

I just hope Aoki at Hakkasan will be as fun as his Monday night XS parties were...

And Skrillex. ugh, I remember when he showed up at XS after Afrojack and my whole mood changed. I bought a presale ticket for $20 so I didnt mind leaving after he started DJing. I just cant really get with it.

I'm one of those odd people that actually likes dancing to Skrillex... although it probably looks more like I'm having a seizure than dancing. But I would NEVER pay that much to see him. That's some insane pricing. In fact, I don't think I've ever actually paid to see him.

really? deadmau5's unhooked sets are pretty impressive. not a fan of most of his mainstream stuff, but when he goes off on a tangent he's pretty spectacular; who else can mix traversable wormhole with 'wheres my keys'??? as for steve aoki...mehh, to each his own. as long as you like it (i wont be caught dead at an aoki show...or skrillex )

I love dancing to dubstep as well. It's really rhythmical and just feels really good with the bass in your face.

Didn't know which thread to put this in (and perhaps it's been posted), but Wynn/Encore did a complete overhaul of their club websites. Most importantly, seating charts and photos of every individual table (I know they had that for XS before, not for the others). Plus, updated 360-degree tours. Gives you an idea of exactly what to expect for a particular location. I know a lot of people probably don't know how things look, so this should help a bit.
