Heading in from the UK feb 22nd, suggestions please

Hi guys,

Looking for some recommendations please, I am flying in from London on friday Feb 22nd for my 30th birthday along with 5 friends (all guys). I've been told that it wont be an overly busy weekend (for Vegas) but hoping I can put a good evening together....I will only turn 30 once in my life to want to make it a night to remember. Maybe an ultra lounge bar with a view of the strip and then on to a club with table/bottle service for 6 near the dancefloor.

The group would be up for good music and a bit of dancing but unfortunately not everyone is into a "rave" type scene so a club night with avicii/Tiesto or the like would be out, prefer something a bit more accessible for us all, but a cool scene with a hot crowd is a must

budget overall would be $2500-3000 as a starting point but open to ideas

club recommendations/host contacts/general advice really would be welcomed. I cant wait

What kind of music do you like... At Tryst and XS we always have DJ's and good events going on. Both venues are good and usually have lots of girls, just depends on your taste in music. There's are definitely good options all over Vegas!

For a drink with a good strip view, check out MIX at Mandalay Bay, or Ghostbar at the Palms. Both offer killer views.

For a good mix of music on a Friday, I'd recommend The Bank. Usually DJ Ikon plays, and does a great job of mixing Hip-Hop/Top 40/Dance. Contact one of the hosts here to see about pricing, but you should be able to get a good table on a Friday for that budget. You may also want to check out Hyde (with a patio overlooking the Bellagio fountains), or 1OAK for the vibe/price you're looking for.

2 hour limo charter from Presidential = $250
Booze for limo $100
2 rounds at MIX Lounge = $150
Patio table at Hyde = $1100 miinimum...$1500 (including tax & tips)
Inside table at Hyde will be about $2000 minimum
Dance floor at 1OAK will be about $2500 minimum

You should be able to get a good table at any of the top40/hiphop clubs for $1500 minimum range.

Whatever you do, make sure to check out who the DJ is the night you plan to go. The DJ can make or break your night if some of your group hate the music.

can I assume all the places mentioned will be busy? Being the weekend after Presidents Day (and winter) I was a bit worried that the city might not be as packed out as usual. Horrible nightmares of sitting with a table full of booze surrounded by empty tables

after reading pretty much the entire website and talking to some American friends, I'm thinking Ghostbar then Tryst.

Is Jared Garcia still the man for Tryst? and is a host contact needed for a table with view and a few rounds (maybe a bottle) at ghostbar or is that purely something for the concierge at Palms to deal with.

Hey chuck I'm also looking into getting a dance floor table at 1oak this coming feb actually the same weekend as op on a friday night. What was the girl/guy ratio like? Hotties comparable to XS/Marquee? Just wanted some of your thoughts on the dance floor table, good? Bad?

The girl/guy ratio at the dance floor tables seemed good, honestly couldn't tell you outside of that....and I'm married, so I'm probably not the most qualified responder to this one

Everyone seems to agree that XS and Marquee have the best ratios and the best looking crowds. If you've got the budget, and your top priority is the hottest crowds, then get a table at one of those two places. On the other hand, if you want the dance floor table experience, still with plenty of good looking girls, then go with the 1OAK table. I can tell you this in closing, there was no shortage of girls in our area and we weren't even trying.

Depending on how early, may not be worth going to Ghost Bar and Tryst the same night, to get a good table at Tryst you should get there 11 at latest to be safe, I didn't think Ghost Bar opened early. If you have a good table at any decent club, there will be hot girls around you. Tryst- Eric Chine, who posted is really good, I know an work with him well. With that said, 1Oak of Friday can be really fun, high energy, good music with a mix of everything. Hyde, Bank also will do open format, good crowds, but Hyde has an awesome view. So to sum up, Tryst, Hyde, 1Oak, Bank, should do the trick musically and girls considering your budget and the type of table/location you can get. Also, you have a table aka ...hot chick magnet... you're good...

hi, appreciate the advice,

the reason I was saying no to Hyde is that we are staying in one of the fountain view terrace rooms in the Cosmo so we will have our fill of the fountains etc from that. Ghost opens at 8 and I was thinking 8- to 9:30/10 there and then Tryst for 10:30/11. But then I guess maybe the scene isn't so good at that time even if the view is. I might look at Mix Lounge in the Mandalay instead...spoilt for choice!
