Ever call a number you get?

Let me start off by saying I'm probably the opposite of smooth or a player. For years, literally, years, I would go to clubs are not get any where with the ladies but apparently I've been getting better. Dressing better, hitting the gym, etc because a lot of girls have given me their number the last few Vegas trips. My question is, if a girl gives you her number at a club does she really want you to call her? It not like we are going to start a long distance relationship after meeting in a club.

Guys, do you ever call the numbers you get? If so, when and what is the result?

Ladies, if you give a guy your number, what are you hoping he does with it? Is it just a gesture to show you really did like him? Do you want him to call? If so, how soon?

These days I'd call it right then just to see if you got a fake number, cell phones make that easy. If you call the number and that phone doesn't light up....

I always have them call me from their's since I normally don't take my phone into the club. So realness isn't a concern.

I guess it depends on the situation. If you're trying to meet up with them again during your visit then having the # is a good idea. I usually find people following the "what happens in vegas stays in vegas" mantra so exchanging phone numbers isn't needed

Large majority of my trips are 2 night trips.

On the first night of the trip I'll save any number I get as it could come in handy later on that night or on the second night of the trip. I'm the type of guy that has ADD in clubs especially mega Vegas clubs where there are tons of attractive women. If I met a girl early on unless I can get her to leave the club early (and she's very attractive) I'm going to take the number down and go meet more women and have fun with my boys. I don't go to a Vegas club to spend a couple of hours stuck with one chick haha.

On the second night of the trip I'll usually only save numbers from girls who also live in SoCal. Sometimes I'll meet a pretty attractive girl but won't close for whatever reason and then leave the possibility of something happening back in SoCal. Usually nothing comes of it but a few times it has.

If a girl answers back a drunk text late at night, work with that one. If nothin else, it makes for a funny text screen shot when you get home.

If its my last night, it's pretty much just to say "hey, you were hot/fun/a good dancer/whatever" There's only one guy I've ever met randomly in Vegas that I've kept in touch with after, but from the start the number exchange was a strictly platonic one.

I've gotten the numbers of a few local girls who I hit up on my trips. If anything, it's cool to have friends to go out with when you're in town.

never knew thats why guys call right away! Thought it was coincidental or bc they were just saving it! this can go either way i hate to say i've given fake # b4 and seen other girls do the same which is horrible but its because occasionally theres that guy... who constantly asks about getting ur number especially if its a situation where maybe hes in a group or maybe a friend of mine is actualy interested in his wingman or something and doesnt get my obvious hints...(or too drunk to get it) Also some people have horrible reactions when u say u dont wanna be in contact and act kinda offensively... kwim? Its something that isfew and far between but i've done it. Horrible yes.

In regard to the original question...Ive called a number..well texted at least. I actually got a business card from a guy (not in vegas but in miami) and saw it in my purse a few weeks later and was like whats this?? (didnt remember meeting the guy..it was the night of a good friends bachlorette party) On the back it said "tick tock pretty girl.. hurry up and call me" which was kinda funny so I sent a hello text outta curiosity... fast forward we dated for over a year and a half after meeting again... lol. Point of story lol is if u forgot getting the number dont call text.. jk :-)

When my friends or I give out our numbers it's because we want to meet up again while we are in Vegas. On the last trip we met groups at the pools, had a blast, and gave out our numbers to meet up that night. In both cases we did meet up again and the awesomeness continued.

I still keep in contact with girls that I have exchanged numbers with in Vegas. I did find that girls work a bit diff in the states than here in oz. you need to seal the deal on the same night
