  • Vegas NYE Weekend Dec 28-30 - large (semi-broke) group

Hi guys! I'm looking for some advice on Vegas the weekend before NYE (December 28-30, Fri-Sun). We have a rather large group going (right now it's 11 girls and 12 guys), and it's going to be a lot of their first times going to Vegas since turning 21. Since a majority are still in school (i.e. broke), some don't want to spend a lot of money while there. Of course we just had to pick a holiday weekend, but that's when all of us could make it. So now we have a handful of people who really want to go all out while there ("Why go to Vegas if you're not going to spend any money?!") and get a table and such one night at XS or Marquee (since a lot of us are into EDM), a handful who don't really care what we do, and the rest just really do not want to spend the money for a night of partying and aren't even into EDM.

I think the best course of action would be to split up Friday night - the group that doesn't want to spend $ go out on their own to their bars or whatnot, and the rest of the guys get a table somewhere and the girls that want to follow get in on guestlist.

Then Saturday night, we all meet up and we can bar/club hop at the smaller places together.

    So my questions are:
    1) Suggestions for where to get a table Friday night? Some place that plays EDM. I know ATB is playing at Marquee, Tiesto at XS, A-Trak at 1OAK, Cosmic Gate at LAVO... location of table I don't think is a really big issue, last time I was on the patio for Marquee and in a cabana for XS and it was still great. It'd probably be 4-6 guys, and hopefully the girls get in on guestlist for free. Each guy is willing to spend in the range of $200-$400 each. Would it be possible to get a $1-$1.5k minimum at XS or Marquee? Or should we shoot for a lower tier club? I've never been to 1OAK or LAVO, so I don't know what they're like.

    2) Suggestions for bar hopping Saturday night? We are staying at Planet Hollywood, if that makes a difference. Also, would there be any smaller clubs that night with guestlist and lower cover (like free for girls, $20-$30 for guys). I know Laidback Luke is playing at Haze, not sure how popular of a club that is? Best case scenario, we can find a club with an EDM artist playing AND the cover isn't too high, so everyone in our group can be satisfied w/ cost & music selection

    Thanks guys in advance!

you wont get a table at that minimum at Marquee or XS for 12 guys. Lavo will be your best deal most likely.

Oh, sorry if I didn't clarify in my post, but if we get a table we are most likely splitting up. So 4-6 guys at a table, not 12. Would that make a $1-$1.5k minimum possible at a first tier club?

        Best advice
If you girls are hot, ditch the guys and you'll have a blast.

You'll get in for free and drink at the best booths for free at the top clubs.

Haha, we joked about how us girls should just do our own thing, while the guys go to a strip club

            Edit: read that wrong. derp.

Also, yes all girl groups tend to get invited into tables for a drink or two

I think the group will most likely split between half the girls and guys in one group, and the other half. There are a lot of couples so they're probably going to stick together.

oh yeah then save money and join a table when you arrive. for the guys tho 6 guys can do a 1k or 1500 table but it wont be the greatest location for tier 1 clubs.

To add to Noah's advice, I don't know where the original poster is from, but it's significantly colder in December. Keep in mind that it can sometimes get close to freezing temperatures.
