  • Vegas during June-July considered slow season?

Hey whatsup everyone, I was googling some info(not sure if its reliable) and found some people saying that summer season such as June-July is considered slow season during Vegas. Would you guys consider this to be true, maybe because of the heat? For example, I looked up some prices at the MGM the week after 4th of July and found cheap suites(500 between 3 people) and I'm wondering whats the catch? I'm a college student and I'm mostly interest in going to clubs and pool parties as I stated in a previous thread. What do you guys think?

The reason I'm wondering is because I'm saving every penny to be able to afford a GREAT time in LV and it would suck if I show up during a slow season. Thanks in advance

Vegas is busy during most parts of the year, just different scales of busy.

Most of my trip there was the week post July 4, while the heat was a bit too much at times during the day, it definitely doesn't scare the people away. I would of even classified the week I was there busy lol, so I'd hate to imagine what "busy" would actually be like.
Looks like I'm coming back in SEPT '13!!

those months are pretty busy.. and peak for pool season. the heat doesnt really get that bad until end of july/august but people still go since many of the activities in vegas are indoors anyways.

No real slow time except maybe around Xmas, but even then there's life.
Summer is really a peak time for partying though.

Not sure who would say it's a slow season... although maybe it's slow gambling/non partying revenue/older people wise who don't want to be around the drunken partiers who fill up the pools lol.

Hey, Jhaulotte. I went on MGM grand's website and picked July 10-15th and had some good rooms in there, some which are cheaper than 500.

I only go to Vegas in the summer. Two words: Pool Season. It is however considered a slower time by some of the people who work out there because of the heat, you won't find much of the retiree crowd or conventioneers. Keep in mind the main people making money off us partiers are the clubs/pools/bars, other industries hurt, while the aforementioned make bank. My last trip was August 11th, it was 110+ during the day and still pretty fucking hot at night (to the point you're sweating from just standing outside), however I have never seen XS as crazy crowded as I saw it that night (Calvin Harris was spinning, but that was a every 2-3 week occurrence last summer).

                          Agreed.
The strip will be packed 22 hours a day.
Only possible slower time is from 6am-8ish.

Starts all over again the next day.
7 days a week from mid June to Oct

The slowest months I've seen were during late November/early December and February after Superbowl (not including World Of Concrete weekend).
