Transportation on NYE

It looks like the strip is closed to vehicles from Mandalay Bay to Stratosphere on NYE starting at 6 pm.

I need to get from Aria to XS at Encore around 10 pm.


Can taxis or limos get from point to point on the back roads? Or do i need to find another method of transportation?

Yes of course they can, just don't expect it to be fast.

LoL.... I'm getting a $5,000 table at XS. I'm certainly not going to walk across town to get there. I'm gonna walk out the skysuite entrance at Aria and take a limo.

Probably be a fair bit quicker if you walked across the strip to a hotel on the same side as Encore to grab a cab so you're not trying to get a vehicle across the strip. I know I did that last year for my Lavo NYE party. Otherwise you are going to have to go way out of your way to find someplace to cross since you're going to be mid-strip.

edit: limo, ok, have fun. Probably take a while, but at least you'll be comfortable.

What are you doing prior to 10pm? Are you having dinner someplace?
You might actually enjoy the walk down the strip on NYE.
Leave your hotel at 8 pm. Grab a giant glass of vodka + your mixer. Take in the madness that is the Las Vegas Strip on NYE.
But don't walk home. Take the limo home.
