Edc 2013

Hey everyone. I apologize if this is in the wrong section. I figured EDC was the closest to "nightlife."

This will be my first EDC in Las Vegas! From what I've heard, the weekend gets a little crazy and traffic from the strip starts to get ridiculous. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as far as how to go about planning my trip. Should I stay on the strip or rent a place closer to the venue? Also, would anyone suggest staying for the entire EDC week? Since it's such a crowded week, do nightclubs still do guestlists?

I have never been to EDC, but I have been in Vegas on EDC weekend... Stay on the strip, buy the bus pass, or if you cab afford it, cabs (like 40-60 each way I think). The strip is crazy busy during the day, just as busy as Memorial/Labor day, everyone still pool parties, then goes to EDC. Have fun!

My advice to you is to book everything as soon as possible. Prices get insane for everything that weekend. Just make sure that you're group is committed and make it happen!

since i went this past year here are my observations:

-book early and lock everything in
-leave for edc early or be prepared to be stuck in the traffic (i was stuck in the damn traffic)
-no guestlists or anything at the clubs, this is considered a "holiday" weekend
-take 2 extra days off to recover lol

I was at EDC this past June as well.

I assumed it would only take 1hr to get there and get in. Give yourself at least 2hrs to get there and actually get in. We had VIP tix so it was quick to get in but if you are doing gen admission tickets, give another 30min to 1hr to get in,

I would actually leave at 5-6pm now to get there by 7-8pm. We left at 6 and didnt get to the main stage until 8-9pm.

Book your room early as well, Presale at the clubs you want to go to.
