Well, maybe it is, but I am going with some anxious travelers so I figure I would try to provide them with some early info. We are hitting up Vegas for SuperBowl weekend. I know, its 3.5 months out and there is Halloween and NYE for Vegas to get through before even considering the SubperBowl. Understanding that there will be no specifics, I am just curious as to what to expect from the weekend. . .

At a minimum it will be 3 (lates 20's - ealry 30's) couples with the possibility of two more - keeping the ratio even. Beyond what we are planning for game watching I believe we are looking at a ~4K budget for two nights for 6 of us (could be more if the others join).

They booked for Sat AM through Wedneday. We will come in Friday so we can hit up a hot spot/DJ and leave Tuesday night. They already booked at MGM Signature Towers - thoughts? How far in advance is it necessary to book?

My buddy knows that when I head to Vegas we do epic parties. Been to Hyde, Marquee, Tao, Drais, XS, LAX, etc. and had awesome hosts like Anthony, hooks us up and take care of us. Can't say enough about Hyde! So, my buddy is expecting big things

What should I expect from SB weekend? I imagine it is a ton of dudes and the sportsbooks and gentleman's clubs overflow. What about the standard night clubs? My buddy has it in his head that the big party nights will be Saturday and Sunday - how are the post game parties? Is Sat slammed as everyone is getting settled for the big game? I was thinking something like Hyde Saturday and Marquee Monday. Is Vegas "spent" by that Monday? Any idea on what to expect from clubs in terms of mins? Do they jump up like a holiday weekend?

Last question - suggestions on where to watch? They did PH last year and said it was solid. Thoughts?

I'll most likely be watching it at the new spot DB's in Miracle Mile.

That place looks solid. I assume they will do a cover entry around $100. Does that get you a table, or is it just a first come first serve deal? I assume it will be an "upscale" Blondies type deal? For someone also interested in the actual game, is it going to be more social or atcual watching?

Noah, how rocking is Marquee over SB weekend? Monday after?

Eh SuperBowl won't be any different for us then most weekends I don't think. DB's I'm sure I'll setup a deal for JC members thats pretty sick since a former JC Host runs it. It'll definitely be ideal price and location wise so no worries.

No way Vegas will be spent that Monday. Always a new crowd rolling in and Marquee will be just as sick as it always is that day.

The problem with planning early is it never actually goes to plan.

We had our first trip this year and I was on it from the day we booked. I was so excited I had a pool and club planned for every day and ngt we was there. I worked out minimum spends we could afford for each venue and everything. Then the trip rolls around and after one ngt everything changes. People go missing in action not to be seen for days, people can't handle the pace ect. 9 of us went for 5 ngts and by the 3rd ngt aftr 2 full days and ngts of pools\clubs only 4 made it out. I very quickly learned that all the planning in the world will not have you ready for vegas. You just have to turn up and ride the wave.

Having said that we are just about to book for next may and once again I can't help but check this site for what the lowdown is on places to go. This time around though I am going with an army of hosts on my phone for contacts and then making bookings on the day or the day before. The only thing we will pre book in advance will be our day beds/cabanas.

I must say I am looking forward to working with the vegas hosts again. Coming from the uk we don't have set ups like this for booking ngts out. I find it a brilliant idea and the whole txting the host to arrange details adds a personal touch that you are being looked after. Going to make sure I use a few more jc hosts this time. I didn't have noahs details before but marquee was our favourite spot and he seems the man about town for that place. We didn't try any of the palms venues out last time either. Like the look of ghost bar and moon so will search the threads and see who the jc members recomend for there.

                Roll on May 2012!!!

haha we all need a holiday my man!

and you're right, planning which clubs on which nights is just a waste of time. 1 friends with a hangover or 1 friend who can't hang can change the whole trip.

this is my first time doing the May Invasion which takes care of all the pre-planning. no need to worry about which clubs i'll be going to, what clubs are the best per specific night, or whether or not there will be a crowd at the club i'm going. absolutely can not wait!

                    ROLL ON MAY 2013!!!

Im already doing hotel research for memorial weekend. Presale tix for clubs won't go on sale till late March. I'll probably go the cheap route this year because I'm gonna be in new orleans a few months earlier for superbowl weekend and still might be broke because of it come late May

I'm right there with all of ya! I'm creeping on JC laying low til it gets close, but I start planning, booking, shopping and dieting beginning in January for a 4th of July blow out! Yes, my boys fall out as the trip goes, but this is a trip of attrition all is fair in Love and Vegas! Learned a lot from last year, and my key priorities are:
                        • pre-sales tix
                        • V-Card
                        • more Hurley boardshorts
                        • definitely XS NightSwim
                        • no sleeping after day pool parties!
