Ok...i am trying to organize a dual party...my friend turns 40 in January and i will be coming home from Afghanistan on my 3rd deployment. We want to do something big. there will only be 6 or 7 of us going.3 of us are pretty good financially bit we will have to carry the other 3. would it be better to stay in a regular room on Friday and then Saturday go all out ?? or get a nice suite both nights??
we will be there January 18-20. I've been thinking of terrace suite...the absolute suite or one at the palms...I am willing to shell out 1500 total. the other guy that has money it is his birthday so i don't want him spending too much...3 of them probably could give 300 each h and the other guy has money but i don't know him quite as well. Any suggestions? are any of them military friendly or should i want till i get there and try to get some high suite and hope that they will give a discount if one of Rhode suites is not taken. any suggestions would be great

It all depends on how important a suite and big rooms are to you guys. I would say I'm only awake in the room no more than 2hrs in a day. So something lavish isnt all that important to me. We usually stay in decent to nice places but hardly in a big suite since we are never there anyway or only come back to sleep and shower.

There are other choices on the strip that are lower profile and cheaper on the budget.
Grand Chateau Marriott right next to the MGM Signature and across Elara(old PH Towers) has 3 bedrooms for $250-400 a night.
Elara has 2 bedroom suites with a big living room and projector TV for about $400-500 a night.

Keep in mind also that most suites will only have 1 king bed on each bedroom. Its rare for suites to have double queen beds.

If you're planning on being out at dinner and clubs til 4am. And out for lunch til dinner on the strip or gambling, then you're barely going to be in the room anyway. That's the way I see it. I'd just get 3 nice double queen room at Planet Hollywood or Monte Carlo or Aria or go for something like the Grand Chateau.
