First Timer... Need advice on clubs

what does the host usually do to return the gesture? does he come back to the tables during the night? also can I tip the host a bit more to get a better table location?

A good host will check up on you throughout the night regardless of how much you tip. However, tip well and they may bring a free round of shots for everyone when they check in with. They can also bring girls to your table. Getting a better table location is the best perk and a good reason to tip the host right away before the final decision is made as to which table you will be taken to. It doesn't hurt to tell your host up front how much you will tip and a table location you want when you first contact them. Your host has connections at other places as well, take care of them and they can help you get into other clubs as well.
