Never been to Haze, curious to see where people would rank it. What's the consensus - 2B?
What are Tier 1 and Tier 2 nightclubs now?

Chuck was there on his trip so I am guessing he will give us a full breakdown of pros and cons.Originally posted by boags View PostNever been to Haze, curious to see where people would rank it. What's the consensus - 2B?Las Vegas is sort of like how God would do it if he had money. ~Steve Wynn

Yeah I went to Haze on a whim last Thursday. It was a great time. We got there at 1:45 and there was no line whatsoever. Inside the place was rockin' though. It was Moose's birthday so not sure how much that affected the quality of the crowd. It was an awesome venue though, especially without a table. You could walk all the way around the dance floor without much trouble at all, post up behind the DJ booth without a table (maybe we weren't supposed to be there but nobody seemed to mind), and there were a couple spots you could have a conversation. Oh, and getting a drink from the bar was a breeze. We really enjoyed it, the lighting is pretty sick too. We'll be going back for sure. I'd put it at the top of the Tier 2's along with Hyde and 1OAK. We really enjoyed all of those places more than Tao.Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Friends went there last trip to check it out and liked in there. They said good amount of girls in there at the time. They did say they wouldn't make a night of it in there, but will go back so next trip we are stopping in thereOriginally posted by Steve_I View PostHow about Gold Lounge? I think the main difference between a lounge like Gold (even though Gold is technically a "boutique" nightclub) or MIX and a club is the time-warp factor. In a lounge, 2-3 hours feels like 2-3 hours. In a club 2-3 hours feels like 1 hour or less. I've always had a great time going to lounges, but it's just not the immersive experience you get at a club. Other than that it seems like the crowds at Tier 2 clubs and lounges are pretty similar for the most part.Originally posted by Jhaulotte View PostFriends went there last trip to check it out and liked in there. I agree with this. I've stayed at Marquee longest 9hrs and majority about 5-6hrs. XS closes earlier so maybe about 5hrs there. But the tier 2 or other clubs where music is just whatever or the crowd starts to thin out earlier. I can probably only stay 2-3hrs. Once the crowds leave, it gets boring and doesnt feel as alive.Originally posted by Chuck View PostI think the main difference between a lounge like Gold (even though Gold is technically a "boutique" nightclub) or MIX and a club is the time-warp factor. With the bigger clubs, at a certain time around 3-4am, the outside part gets closed down so the people outside get brought in so at around 4am it looks like it gets livelier again. You see people you didnt see earlier in the night and to me it gives me a second wind. haha.***Feb 2012 - Aria - Marquee *** March 2012 - Encore - Marquee, Surrender

From observation, most weekends of the summer months are guaranteed good crowds and of course big huge crowds on the major holidays, big fight weekends, concerts, etc. As far as the major clubs, it all depends on who the DJ or special guest is. I've bounced from XS to Marquee on the same night and sometimes one is busier than the other just because of who the DJ is.
Weekends of course will have the bigger crowds but dont count out weekday Industry nights on certain clubs or specialty nights such as Party Rock Mondays at Marquee. Those to me are surprisingly busy for weekdays. I've only gone a couple times last year on weekdays but I'm surprised they actually bring a good amount of people in.
I would say weekends in the winter are when its more of a hit or a miss, but again it all depends on the DJ too. But the clubs that dont really have celebrity DJs I think have a higher chance of a miss on random weekday. So research on those Industry nights on weekdays. Those will more likely be the ones that bring in good crowds than a random lounge or club.Last edited by WT661; 10-03-2012, 09:33 AM.***Feb 2012 - Aria - Marquee *** March 2012 - Encore - Marquee, Surrender
