Rain/G-Bar/Moon on a Friday night

Hi All,

Has anyone recently been to either Rain/G-Bar/Moon on a Friday night? If so, please share your thos, and the type of music. Thanks in advance.

Can't speak to Friday night specifically but I was at both Moon and Rain on a Saturday night about a month ago. Moon was Open Format/Top 40 and Rain had Rusko DJ'ing that night (so dubstep/edm). Had a dance floor table at Moon and had a blast. Rain we popped in around 3am to check it out and it seemed legit as well.

Which would you guys rather go to- Rain or Moon?

Ive been to Rain and it was ok. I didnt how it is just one big dance floor and the people with bottle service looked over you.

Moon is a much smaller venue so I think that's important to keep in mind depending on what you are looking for. I didn't spend enough time at Rain to give a fair comparison.

I personally really enjoy Moon. Besides the view, it's a little smaller club and usually not packed to the point you can't move. It's a nice touch when they open up the roof. It's also a nice novelty to be able to go down to Playboy Club to play a few hands of blackjack. I've always had bottle service there so not sure if the experience would be different without it.

Agree with alot of what cowboy said ^^^

Plenty busy but not sardine packed. Also I thought it was really cool to step out on the balcony and check out the tremendous view of the strip.

Playboy Club closed this summer I believe. Not sure what the plans are for that space going forwards.

Can always start off at one and go to the other. You can get either the all access passes (and maybe hosted bar) that let you in all bypassing the line or if you get a bottle at one, you're host can get you into the other.

Used to go to Rain last year a few times. It is a smaller place compared to other big clubs. Its still fun times though. Just depends on what vibe you're looking for. Saw Rusko there and PaulyD last year. Was ok but nothing spectacular.

I don't like Rain unless it's at full capacity (rarely happens this time of year). It will be a great spot on the Saturday of Halloween weekend and New Years, but besides that I would almost always choose Moon over Rain.

General rule of thumb is house/edm in Rain and hiphop/top40/open format in Ghostbar and Moon.

That being said, Drew is right- you can check out all 3 all night with an all access pass or bottle service.
