will i have problems with these shoes?

hey guys, i read the article on dress codes, and these seem to be a gray area considering they have the white soles. i think they fit my style a bit more than regular dress shoes would, although i have no problem wearing regular dress shoes either. i just see myself getting more use out of these locally also. appreciate any help!

My friend wore a very similar pair to Marquee a few Mondays back and had no issues. We had a table that night which can sometimes help with regards to leniency on the doors.

You'll probably be okay as long as the rest of your outfit is in line. Where are you going? Some places are more strict than others.

I have never gotten turned down and ive worn boat shoes and converse. I think as long as you are dressed appropriately overall you should be fine. (it does help if those shoes are clean though)

Converse at Marquee is usually a no go. Ask Cisco. Otherwise, as long as you look well put together you shouldn't have a problem.

thanks everyone... i ended up buying a different pair that are similar, except they are not shiny. the ones i posted are online order only, and when i tried other models from that brand, their sizing varied per shoe. i didn't want to risk getting them too big/small. i'm not sure where we will be going, i will have to do some research on here tonight. i do know that my brother isn't huge on nightclubs though, so we may end up going to places that are a little more relaxed. if that's even possible in vegas? haha

as for the rest of the getup, i was thinking button ups like this (i have an all black, all gray, and army green one)

the pants i was thinking some levis, but they're not like regular denim, kinda hard to describe, they're a bit more "dressy" (pic is not me, but i have a pair in a dark gray, and a dark blue)

still undecided. it is for a bachelor/bachelorette party, so it'll be about 5 guys/5 girls. we will be there a friday and saturday night, one night all guys, and one night as a group, so we were thinking of doing a bottle one night. i know my brother (the groom) isn't big on nightclubs, so more than likely it'll be ghostbar or gold. think we'd have an issue getting 5 guys in? or should we try to separate a bit and find some females to talk to in line?

If you line up bottle service, getting 5 guys in won't be an issue.
If you're going GA then you'll want to split up and pair up...may not matter at Gold though.
I've got a host contact at Gold if you're looking to get bottle service there.

If you do bottle service then they'll probably be a little more lenient at the door regarding dress code.
But I don't think either Gold or Ghostbar is real strict anyway.

We had two guys in our group this past weekend and they got in fine with the white soles. Like what's been noted by everybody else, make sure the rest of your outfit is in line with the dress code.

that's good to hear jcase! i think the plan might be ghostbar on friday, and bottle service at lax on saturday as a group with the females. apparently a friend of mine has a hook up at lax, so we shall see how that goes

It seems that they're a little easier on the code if you have bottle service. Our friend actually got considered to be let in with just a black cotton tee, jeans and the brown loafers/white sole shoes.
