Convention Season

I know MDW and LDW are probably the busiset times in Vegas in terms of parties and nightlife. But I'm pretty sure summer is considered the slow season in Vegas overall. What is considered peak times for business in Vegas? Thanks in advance.

Fall and Spring...I'm pretty sure most of the BIG conventions are in the Spring...which can have major effects on hotel prices.

We went this last April and had a hell of a time getting a good deal on a room...and we usually have no problem doing so with mLife.
All hotels were at capacity with convention goers so upgrades were impossible.

The convention we work at is End of Oct/Begin of Nov for SEMA. The Automotive Aftermarket manufacturers show with all the fixed up cars, etc. Brings in about 100,000+ people during the week. We get convention rates so its not that bad. PH is $130 per day and Cosmo about $180.

Another big convention is in Jan for the CES show. I think SEMA n CES are the biggest conventions the whole year. I dont think theres a convention "season". There's so much happening throughout the year from conventions, concerts, fights(boxing and MMA), holidays, etc. that its hard to predict.

I go to Vegas all seasons and I would say that Summer is the busiest for nightlife and partying. But it really doesnt stop. Like Columbus Day weekend has siick DJ lineups at the clubs. Halloween has a good schedule too. It does slow down week before Christmas holiday and the few days after that, but NYE of course is wild. I've been to the clubs late Jan, Feb and Mar. The crowds arent as packed as summers, but lets say XS and Marquee when its real cold, the outside is closed so everyone is inside which makes it a pretty good crowd.

Business wise, I think the conventions are not in the summer months so the less party crowd in the winter/fall offset the convention crowds which still makes Vegas busy all year round.
