12 lads from england staying at the wynn - please advise on filling in the blanks!

arrive thursday 7pm - voodoo lounge at rio to get warmed up

friday - the rockstar vip party bus!! - we needed a cheap night - anyone know where this ends up?

saturday - would have been UFC 151 now thinking of encore beach daytime, BS at tryst for deadmau5 (booked)

sunday - recover in the day, BS at XS for david guetta (booked)

monday - cabana at wet republic (booked)

tuesday - curl up and die.

wednesday - american themed night on fremont street... we want to try a dive club for the authentic vegas experience. any ideas??

presumably theres a tip for the host to secure a good table - how much would this be for 12 guys - is $300 a decent amount?

and then this $2k - is it bottles only or could we eg get a patron, a goose, a whiskey and then beers ?
and then service will be automatically added to the bill yes

For a group of 12 guys, id say at least $50 per person for tipping ( and thats not a lot). It not just the host you are tipping, security (should you need any girls), and of course your drinks girl will need to be tipped aswell. If you have been quoted $2k for 12 guys at Tryst, I wouldnt have thought this would be a great location, however depending on how well you tip and who your host is, this could differ. In my experience, its generally bottles to utilize the minimum but in the past we have asked for beers and they were quite happy to deduct that off our minimum.

i did wonder that the $2k minimums in tryst and XS are a bit low and thus will result in a poor table especially given the DJs playing
one of the lads is a 'medium roller' with wynn and gets a comped room etc and i think we have used this status to secure some bookings with a host that some of the guys have used a few times before. surely a $400> tip would get a decent table(?!)
that said i take the view that even if the table is rubbish, it would have cost us more than $200 each to pay for tickets and drinks so it doesnt really matter anyway. there can only be a certain number of 10+ people tables anyway?

also i can see 12 guys getting through 4 bottles of vodka pretty easily...!

so to break down the tip - $50 ea is 600, $400 host, $100 security $100 service? that sounds fair

A $400 tip would certainly be a reasonable tip. Ask the host you are dealing with up front, what a figure like $400 would do in terms of table location. Its does no harm.

I cant vouch for 10+ people tables, the times ive been to Tryst, its only been between 3 and 6 so ive no idea where you'll be. But yeh I think you are better off with table service for sure.

Your breakdown of tips sounds about right, yeh.

Here's how I'd budget a $2000 minimum.

Min = $2000
Tax = $162
Server Tip = $400 (20%)
Host Tip = $400
Security = $60
Runner = $60
GRAND TOTAL = $3082

Grey Goose is $625/bottle at XS I think so you're probably looking at 3 bottles ($1875).
I'd suggest some waters which will run you about $6/each, so 12 for ($72).
Beers are about $8/each, so 6 beers plus the above would put you at $2000.

minmums just mean what needs to be spent. you can order what ever you want, liquor, champagne, waters, red bulls, beers ect. you just need to spend at least 2k (before tax and gratuity)

you need to hit up rehab pool party on sunday and do either XS or marquee on monday to see how the locals party. But it looks like you have a pretty solid lineup of things to do. you should hold off on to encore beach club til mon with deadmau5

Yes. I've always started out at $20 security and $20 to runner/busboy at the beginning of the night and then add on from there depending on how much we use them (asking security to watch our area when we leave/kick random dudes from our table/etc or the busboy having to cleanup extra when the table gets a little too rowdy). Host tip my standard is $100 a bottle and I've always been treated well by my hosts with that level of tipping.
