  • First Vegas Trip 9/14 - 9/17

    Hey guys,
First time poster, been lurking for awhile and this site has been absolutely phenomenal with regards to helping me plan my first trip out, so thanks for that. 4 guys, College students, celebrating 2 21st bdays and its everyones first trip out. Trying to get a rough plan for the weekend, was wondering if you guys had any advice or comments.

Friday 9/14- Arrive LAS 130pm, Presidential limo with liquor store stop to the Cosmo, have a Wraparound + connector booked through LNF deal I found here. Probably gonna gamble, eat, and hit up Marquee with Cosmo guest entry.

Saturday 9/15 Day- Either Tao Beach during the day or just chill/gamble/explore vegas, depending on peoples mood.

Saturday 9/15 Night- Thinking BS at XS for Tiesto. Hoping for around $250-300 max per person, guessing this might be tough to pull off.

Sunday 9/16 Day- Marquee Day Club free Cosmo guest entry

Sunday 9/16 Night- Either XS nightswim or maybe hit up an UL, probably do some gambling. Nothing too wild, have to leave for airport by 8am Monday morning.

The guys are all willing to drop cash but obviously considering were college students we dont exactly have full time jobs yet. Plus im sure theyre gonna wanna save some of their bankroll for gambling and such. This is why I'm thinking do BS once at a nightclub and maybe once at dayclub, and just take advantage of free marquee entry.

Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks alot guys!

Marquee free entry is not guaranteed. Especially if your are just a bunch of guys. They MAY allow complimentary entry to the nightclub for Thu, Fri and Sun at the discretion of the host. Same goes for the day club. Saturdays you definitely will have to pay.
Veterans please correct me if I am wrong.
That said, happy birthday and have fun!

Gamble with your cash, destroy your credit cards at the clubs. You're 21, you have a lifetime to pay that shit off, and you won't regret it.
Now that the financial advising is out of the way....

$1200 all in for Tiesto at XS on a Saturday is basically a 1 bottle minimum. I think they're lowest priced bottle, like SKYY or something is probably like $550. Tack on tax and server tip and you're at $715. $80 for security and runner tips puts you at just under $800. That leaves $400 for a host tip which may just get it done. Never hurts to give it a shot. Otherwise, see if you can connect with another group to help spread the cost a bit.

Anyone been to XS with bottles recently that can confirm that bottle price?
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Awesome advice. Not exactly responsible, but eff it, skipping a few days of class to go to Vegas with my buds aint exactly responsible either.

Reached out to Ryan Perrings as advised by this forum, said 2 bottle minimum for "pool deck". Gonna go for it, bottles start at 575 so figure about 1500 with tax and tip plus host tip on top of that, boys are down for it, only thing that might vary is the host tip. Gonna have to see til we get closer how much thats gonna be, and work something out with the location. I saw a map of XS on Sheets VIP site and it looks like besides the immediate patio tables, the rest of the areas outside are daybeds, lillypads, or upstairs cabana. Can anyone confirm/deny this? Definitely would prefer a table vs a daybed or lillypad.

As for cosmo entry, gonna try and see how it works out. Technically we have two rooms and only two guys per room, and ive read somewhere here that they tend to limit the number of people per room that are allowed entry. Can anyone confirm/deny?

Lastly, pool parties, I think for Saturday we may do either presales to EBC (Avicii) or Wet. Dunno if I can convince my buds to drop another few hundo on bottles for dayclub, and they seem to prefer to go all out at the nightclub anyway.

Sorry again for the long post and thanks for the help guys. Much appreciated.

Here are a few things that worked for us in March. Check with the concierge for a hotel guest entry line (It's on the 2nd floor). Go early before things get crazy (9ish worked for us). We never had to pay Fri or Sun and took us less than 5 mins to get in (Hotel guest lines get long too). That said, its been almost 6 months and things there change pretty quickly and even then, concierge did warn us that they suddenly may have the itch to start charging you 20-100 depending on the night (Nothing is set on stone and Cosmo has no control on Marquee). Lastly, remember that the bottom line is not the cost to get in, but the time you spend in line to get in.
I may pull a last minute trip the first week of Sep and will be staying at the Cosmo if I go. I'll come back to post my experience.

I've only been to XS on a Sunday for Nightswim so I'm not sure what they do on a Saturday night - but on Sunday in addition to the patio tables, daybeds and upstairs cabanas they also had lower level cabanas available.

Guest list only work if at least 50% of the group are females, plus you have to show up pretty early.
