I'm planning a trip to Vegas next month and was leaning towards using a host that I've used in the past to book bottle service at a club. After reading through this site, I've seen that many people are against independent hosts and now I'm weighing other options for planning this Vegas trip. However, I'm still curious as to how the host/promoter business works. Do hosts/promoters get a % of the business they bring in? Discounted rates on bottles that they can mark up? Or other? Thanks

Im no expert but i have used both routes several times. I like using independent hosts when I need a limo, party favors, and want to hit multiple clubs in one night. Probably cheaper to go directly to the club hosts, but when you add up all organizing and logistics, it is sometimes worth it to pay someone else to take care of it. For example I've had bottle service reservations with a club host once at Tao but was forced to wait like 30 mins to get in when my Tao host went MIA for a bit. That has never happened to me with an indie host cuz he's gonna know so many people that he'll always be able to get you in quick. But for your basic bottle service evening, probably less expensive to go direct.

there are 2 types of independent hosts in town. the kind that charges you a fee to book your reservation (98%) and the kind that don't because they have their own deals in place where the club pays them (2%). the 2% that do can SOMETIMES be more beneficial than booking through a host at a club.Anthony Connelly
