  • Non-Industry Locals, any advantages on Weekends with covers/lines?

Basically the title states the question.

For locals who are not in the industry, are there any advantages on non-locals nights, specifically weekends. I'm talking strictly lines and entrance fees. Typically you'd think it would, as Joe Blow from California is going to pay $50 cover and $50 line jump, if you'e a local chances are you're going to go to that club a lot more and spend more money.

I guess I'm basically wondering if you have an advantage by being a local on the weekend. PM me if you'd like. I'm pretty new to Vegas and am basically trying to figure out how things works related to this.

    Thanks.

I remember being asked a bunch of times at XS on a Sunday if I was local while I was trying to get in. That's all I know.

Well most of the clubs have Local night usually same night as their industry night so me and my friends like to hit clubs those night to get that free entry and spend more on booze so they still get money. On a non local/industry night what I can say for me is I usually pay the cover/jump fee. What does come in handy is being a local it being a weekend and getting bottle service. Most of the time once you have worked with a host and they took care of you and you took care of them so they remember and try their best to help you out. Really it goes for non local and locals: When you work with a host if they do a good job and you reward them they remember you and will try their best to help you out.

Edit: Wanted to add that by working with same hosts or hosts recommended to me it has saved me some money and improved my experiences at clubs!

To answer your question directly, no. If it's not a night that's advertising locals free or industry night then usually that means its a busy weekend and they dont care where the people in the club are from as long as they make money. With that being said, a lot of the Tier 2 and Tier 3 clubs always take care of locals on guestlist. Tier 1 however will saleout with or without your business and is more concerned with paying the bills and covering the cost of the big name DJ.
