  • Marquee Table Location 2K

I recently booked 2K inside table at Marquee for Saturday night (none holiday/no major DJ). I was told 2.5K is the starting point but the rep said will do 2K if I arrive early around 10:30 (3 ladies 1 guy). Can you experts tell me what type of table/location I can expect given the price point?

    Thanks very much in advance.

Did you call marquee directly or get in touch with a host?
2k for 3 girls 1 guy i would assume would get you a tier 3 table inside.

I'm staying at the hotel so the concierge put me through with a host. May I ask what's a tier 3 table? Assuming tier 1 is the best?

Probably "Cloud Bar" area...I think a previous poster was put here with a similar minimum

Ah ok, it looks fairly close to the main area (or is it far away in reality)? Thanks very much for your help Chuck.

Looks like it could be a good area. It has a dance floor area. I would like to hear a review from somebody who sat there

From "kablooey"....I PM'ed him and asked that he chime in over here...

Marquee - Mar 27, 2012 (Mon) - Party Rock Monday - Red Foo in the house!
              Venue: Marquee
              Month: March
              Day of Week: Mon (27th)
              Group: (4) 3 male & 1 female
              Minimum: 800
              Host Tip: 150
Location: Patio, just outside cloud bar. Table 301 I think (now where the blackjack tables are at). In front of first outdoor bar

Red Foo in the house! Party Rock Monday was awesome. You could just feel the electricity and excitement outside as you made your way up the escalator to get to table reg. Lots of people there, definite buzz in the air. Crazy, fun night. Went a couple Yellow Labels over the min - ended up drinking with a bunch of the cocktail waitresses to end the night. Industry night too. some hosts from 1OAK, TAO, along with a couple of independents and guys that own a lounge (Myth) in San Jose, CA stopped by the table. Party w/ locals night.

OP is going on a saturday night. I would contact the host and ask where the location will be. For 1K with 4 people you can get a table outside in the pool area. So if he's saying the starting point is 2.5k that better be for inside.

                  Hi All,

The only time I sat in the cloud bar area was at a Marquee Day Club event. Basically the Cloud Bar is that little open section in between the main entrance to the patio and the ring of death. For MDC, this is a decent location and you won't feel as disconnected as you're right by the entrance to the patio. For the nightclub, though it's a different story. You will not have a direct view of the dancefloor/DJ stage. At night also, the cloud bar gets busy and people will be packed there the whole night. Honestly, if that was the area I was being quoted for the night club, I'd probably take the lower minimum and grab one of the tables out in the patio (esp. if it's a top DJ on the decks). You get to see inside with the video screen and it's way cooler (temperature wise) out there. Much more room too.

With the 2.5k min quote though I'm thinking the same as Dex. You're probably getting a 3rd tier table in the 80's and 90's. If I remember correctly, these are the tables close to where the elevators are when you walk towards the main dance floor area. I haven't experienced these tables first hand yet, but from walking by there, I could see that they also don't give quite a direct view to the action, but does feel a little more connected to the man dance floor area than the Cloud Bar area.

                  I hope that helps!

Yes our host said patio tables are 1K each but we wanted to be inside, which we were told starts at 2.5K for the main room. Judging by the helpful floor plan and review from Chuck & Kablooey (thank you both again btw. Very helpful information). Cloud Bar is just an OK location. There's no headliner DJs that evening so no direct view to the DJ is not a problem (top DJ on patio deck is also out of the question of course).

The way my host word the arrangement in the email was "main room tables starts at 2.5K, however, if you come early (10:30) I'll have a small table for 2K". I am wondering if she's saying it's a 2.5K location but because we are getting there early it'll be 2K. Either way, I will ask the host where our table is, and if it happens to be in the Cloud Bar area. May I ask is it worth to upgrade to a better location or we'll have a great time where we are (Cloud bar) since it doesn't sound very impressive from Kablooey's review.

Thanks very much again everyone for your valuable input.
