The question is... Marquee night club or XS????

    for bottle service that is....

7 guys bachelor party....about 4000 min is what we are looking at....with dj aside and not factoring that in to the decisions... Which venue provides a better experience and service ... Both would be looking at dance floor table or at least relatively close to it...

Anyone who has experience at both please chime in...

Honestly man, thats a tough one. LOL. Both are great places. Personally I've been to Marquee about 15 or so times with 2 being with bottle service(1 back wall behind the main dancefloor tables and 1 along the Long bar on the left side of the club). Both times the service was great from the staff at the door and inside(waitress and security).
XS, I've been to about 10times and 2 were with bottle service. Both times was in the back against the wall of the main room. I would say that the service was pretty good as well. No complaints at all.

If I were to say which one I liked better, it would have to be Marquee. I guess the waitresses were just more personable. But thats personal experience and has nothing to do with the club itself. Part of it too is I feel more at home at Marquee.

Basically, IMO you can't go wrong with either or. To me the decision would lie based on who is DJing and the deal I'm able to get at each club.

Your $4k will go further at Marquee. $4k at Marquee gets you 8 bottles, same spend at XS will get you 6 bottles (talking Goose here).
I'm pretty sure $4k will get you a better location at Marquee than you would get with the same spend at XS.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Also, it's a slightly different crowd at both. I say Marquee since its the top spot and bringing in all the up and coming DJs and therefore attracts basically everyone.

Plus, yes you get a bit more bang for your buck at Marquee.

In your opinion, what would you say the crowds are like at each, Noah? Or anyone else that cares to chime in.

                Why is that?

More for you money at Marquee and to be honest the hosts at XS bug me because they call out exactly how much you'd better grease them if you want the table you are asking for (always $500 - $1.2K). For anything around $3.5K, you are probably looking at tier 3 or farther back anyway + tax/waitress tip/grease)

Personal opinions on Marquee vs. XS

I've experienced both venues a handful of times and in different locations (patio, inside, dance floor, etc.) and have always had a great time at either. For me, the music and vibe has been the deciding factor as to how good the night was. All that being said, here's what I liked and didn't like for each:

At Marquee I've got to echo WWT661's sentiment that the staff is very personable and the cocktail waitresses for the most part are drop dead gorgeous. I have not yet met an unattractive one and actually met one that used to be a car show model in CA. Oddly there have been nights where I've ignored the rest of the talent on the floor and just ordered a bottle of yellow label towards the end of the night to drink up with a few as their tables start to close out for the night. Call me crazy, but I actually like the vibe better out in the patio on super crowded nights. I've had a dance floor table a couple of times and it can get really crazy and fun in there, but also hot and stuffy. Be sure to tip security to make sure folks don't encroach too much into your space (unless it's a bunch of drunk, hot bachelorettes). If you don't have an inside table, it can get a little troublesome to push your way into the dance floor especially when the ring of death is in full effect and security stops letting people into the dance floor. That's when a well placed tip to your security guy can help out, they can help push your way onto the floor. Also if you tip your table runner very well and aren't too far into the dance floor, they sometimes check in on you and run a drink out to you from your table (gotta keep the buzz alive). The staff also tend to remember you. I've had a security guy, table runner, or waitress say hi if they happen to see me headed towards the Pizza room at Cosmo or to MDC. I know it's not important, but gives off a very personable vibe.

As far as the crowd goes, my experience here has been more of a mixed bag. I'm not saying I'm a seasoned club patron or anything, but you will get a lot of first timers looking for the Vegas club experience. You will meet a wide range of people. Just be prepared for a little less sophistication and a slightly more elevated party vibe. There are nights where I will crave one over the other and if you want to rage and don't really care about how you look doing it, I've done more of that at Marquee than at XS. Personally I've had more luck pulling randoms at XS than at Marquee as some of them (in my experience) have been a little more cliquish and snobby at Marquee. But then again, maybe they just weren't digging my vibe that night. One thing you will have working for you is that Marquee is huge (multi-level, patio, and lots of stairs). Women tend to get tired and will want a place to sit. I guess this is why I like the patio more as it's cooler out there and it makes it a little more inviting if you offer a place to sit and a watered down vodka cocktail (or a "diet" raging bull as my friends and I call it, haha) for the ladies.

All in all, though you can't go wrong with Marquee. Just don't fall into the pool while walking around outside (seen that happen once). Also seen a chick pop a squat in the middle of the floor cuz we were too far in the middle of the floor to get out. Big crowds + great music = awesome vibe. The Party Rock Monday aura is always pretty fun. United we Play!

Now for XS. All of my experiences there have been inside. Never had a patio table yet, but have walked out there a couple of times to get air and it seems ok and fun as well. Having sat at all diff table tiers at XS, I actually prefer the back wall (200's) tables. I know it's a lower tier table, but there's just more space to dance and hang out. Easier to pull women to the table (if you need to) as there is more foot traffic and it's on the way to the bar or bathroom (who says no to a raging bull lite). From what I've experienced, the crowd seems to be half a tick more mature and sophisticated than the Marquee crowd. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it's a bunch of senior citizens or stuffy sticks in the mud that don't konw how to party, as I've seen roof get blown off that MF (most recently the Mad Decent Monday during EDC weekend w/ DIPLO, Skrillex, and a special set by AfroJack that went on till about 6am), but it just seems like the patrons are a little more dressed up, self assured, and the convos I've had with randoms have been longer and relied less on grunting and grinding. I've definitely had more post club hookups originate from XS than Marquee. It's a more intimate venue than Marquee, but I kind of prefer that. No matter what table you're at, you have a great view of the DJ booth and the dance floor. Despite the smaller physical size, I still feel like I have room to geek out when the mood hits w/out feeling concerned that I'm going to inadvertently poke out someone's eye. I don't get that feeling at Marquee. It's also easier to make your way into the dance floor. I've never seen a time where they've had to close it off because it was too crowded.

Regarding the staff, they are also pretty good and attentive. XS has it's share of hot cocktail waitresses, but not quite like Marquee where everyone there seems to be a 7 or up in my book. Tip your table runners well over here and they are super attentive. When they see you heading back with a group of girls, it's always nice to have some clean shot glasses ready and the cocktail waitress around to pour. An attentive table runner makes sure that's in place as you approach your table. Security is also very friendly and attentive. Since it doesn't feel as crowded as Marquee they don't usually have to clear folks away from your table, but can do so when needed. The bathroom walkups are especially useful for my female guests as the night goes on. As far as bang for your buck goes, for some reason I've gotten that more at XS than at Marquee. I've tipped my host less and actually gotten more favorable table locations vs. Marquee. I've also been taken care of and offered some bottle specials (3 for 2, or the Moet/Goose Industry special) w/out having to ask. The one thing that I can say XS does really well is crowd control. They have that down to a science. The table registration process is almost always way smoother than my experiences in Marquee. I'm literally walked into my table by about 10 minutes after entering the property. At Marquee there is usually a little bit of a wait and a little bit of chaos, but then again, what's an extra 15 to 20 mins, right? But in terms of VIP feel, I do feel like I get that more at XS.

My take, XS is my home away from home and that 4k paired with a pretty decent tip should get you a table in the 400's (2nd tier). If you guys are lucky and tables aren't really sold out for the night, you may be able to talk your host into getting you a dance floor table for 5k and a sizable tip (4-5 bills?). At Marquee, depending on who's performing that night, 4k min will probably get you a table behind the ring of death, but still inside. I think those are the 80's and 90's kinda opposite of the the Cloud bar area. Then again, I'm no expert and these are just my personal experiences. Not sure if this is the norm, but I wanted to make sure I shared what I've seen. I'm sure the hosts that post on this forum can and will get you more accurate info as experiences can vary greatly.

Wow, sorry just realized I put up this wall of words. Can you tell I don't really feel like working today, haha. Sorry if I bored you, but I do hope this helps.

kablooey.... That was an awesome write up man!!! Will defiantely use this info ... I too have done bottle service at xs a few times and loved it but with Calvin Harris headlining that night Ive gotten quoted some pretty high prices for a table I'm thinking may not be so great... Maybe the direct contact off this site for xs can possibly give me a better idea of what pricing and locations will be

You're welcome, glad you liked it. I'm with you on not being able to remember the names. After nights of heavy partying the brain cells just don't quite work like they used to, hehe. As I was mentioning in another thread, there was one super pretty asian mix (Thai/Malaysian I think) that was super attractive. Eye candy can definitely be a contributing factor when choosing a club.

Glad it was useful to you. As I'm sure you already know, bigger name headliners tend to have that type of effect on pricing. I was posting on another topic how the host I usually work with at XS couldn't really do to much for me in terms of table mins because it was a Skrillex night. The place was packed that night and he had to charge premium prices regardless. Econ 101 (Supply and Demand) strikes again! Good luck with your table pricing negotiations & whatever club you choose, make sure you make it a memorable night!
