Tips on getting in to Tao on a Thursday

Hi guys,

A friend and I will be in Vegas for a Wednesday and Thursday night later this month. Don't know where we'll end up on Wednesday but I'm definitely thinking Tao on Thursday.

Any tips on how to get in? We're not staying in the Venetian/Palazzo, nor are we getting bottle service, so I'm guessing we'll have our work cut out for us, especially seeing as we're two guys.

My plan right now is not a novel one, nor am I sure it'll be enough to get in: arrive at 10:30 for when the doors open and cosy up to a couple of cute looking girls in the queue and act like we're all together (and pay the girls' cover should we succeed). Is that a good a plan as any?

I think in order to get the stamp you have to order from their entrees Dex. You can't do just appetizers

I just called to confirm & yes, entree is required for stamp but not a bad deal in any case!

It's a Thursday. You don't have to do all that to get in. Get there at 1030 and you're fine. Not like you're trying to get in with 8 dudes

Chris the host? I though a host only dealt with VIPs and people who wanted bottle service, am I wrong?

Thanks to the people who advised eating in Tao beforehand, I'd heard about that tactic but had forgot all about it. However, what exactly does the stamp entitle you to? Does it allow you to skip the queue altogether or does it just entitle you to queue in a shorter, VIP queue? Does it get you in for free or do you still pay cover?

It's free with the stamp. There's a side door inside Tao restaurant that takes you inside the club. I've done it before. Just know there can be a long wait if you make reservations past 9. There was an hour wait when I tried but luckily we just found some open spots at the sushi bar.

What do you mean there's a long wait? To get into the club or to get a seat at the restaurant?

If we called the restaurant around lunch time on Thursday, they'll have a table to reserve for us that night, right? If we reserved it for 11pm would that hamper our chances of getting in? Are we better off going booking a table for earlier? If we booked it earlier would we able to go out of the restaurant after we got our stamps and then return later to get in to the club?

I realise I'm asking so many questions but it'll be my first time in Vegas so I'm new to how things work there. Where I'm from, if you arrive at the door before midnight and don't smell like you fell in a puddle of alcohol you'll have no trouble getting in anywhere!

I forgot you were going on a Thursday and it's only 2 of you. It's really not that difficult to get into Tao on a Thursday. Just get there at a reasonable time and you're fine. But if you still want to do the restaurant, just make a reservation at 9 or 10. It's a Thurs so it shouldnt be that crowded. The long wait I was talking about was the wait to get seated at the restaurant. But that was on a Saturday night. And once you're seated and eating it doesnt matter what time you go to the club. There's little(if that)wait because the side door goes directly to the club.

TBH... if you don't want to do dinner there and aren't doing bottle service, easiest way is to buy the wristbands from wantickets/vegas.com/bettervegas

True but those wristbands are only worth it you're going to TAO/Beach/Lavo every single day haha
