Nope, no extra expense at all. $30 plus like $3 ticket fee from wanttickets.com (my wife was $20). When we got there I walked up and showed the first guy my ticket and he almost acted surprised I had it (I guess a lot of people must not do this?) and he sent me down a different section to by-pass the few people that were in the regular line to pay cover. I walked up, the girl scanned my ticket, then stamped my hand and pointed me to the next guy who then let us in.

The only tip I payed all night was to the hot bartender girl for our drinks.

Darth, you didn't have to tip anyone? So you didn't have any extra expense to get in? Just your presale ticket cost?

I just went to Diplo last week for Mad Decent Monday and I bought a presale ticket for myself that was $30 and had ZERO wait. I got there a little early (10:45ish) but I'm telling you that by 1am when Diplo hit the decks there still wasn't much of a wait. And if you had presale there was no wait.

That was actually my first time at XS and I was pretty surprised to be honest. I thought it would be some huge lines with ridiculous waits, which is why I did the presale ticket and got there early.

Obviously I didn't have a host but I don't really care about that if I'm not doing a table and just want to see a DJ.

You dont have to be there at 10:30. Basically they just say that so on busy nights when its SUPER packed like Tiesto on a Saturday on a holiday weekend that you would not have to wait at all.

The time listed on the ticket is when the doors open. You can arrive whenever you want with presales.

Was just at XS this past Monday for Morgan Page, got pre sale tickets, was directed to the GA line which was kinda long but then showed the guest list guy my tickets and he took us out of the line and directed us down the side to the girls at the counter. We maybe waited 2 minutes until this happened. We arrived at about 11:00pm

Thanks to everyone who replied, espicially Darth. We did end up arriving at 11, and although it was busy, it was Diplo and a Monday, so there were no lines. I recommend presales to everyone if you aren't going to buy a table. I know on busier nights you may have to wait, but it has to be better than the general line.

A couple of things. One, there were a lot of exceptions to the "pretty" rule (girls and guys), and two, don't go if you think you are going to dance. There are too many people on the dance floor to do anything other than watch the show.

Glad I was of help. I noticed also that what I would consider to be "hot" looking people doesn't seem to be as important as I would think. The workers are all pretty hot, but the customers seem to just need money. I guess if you drink enough the ratio tips back in favor of pretty people...LOL!
