    Couple years ago we had a group of 6, did two bottles and after the tips to host, staff, etc it was roughly $1100. I want to say bottles were close to $400 each + $100 to our host and 20% to the staff. We had a nice table too in a sky box.

    We are looking to do something similar in terms of group size and cost. My younger brother has kind of been organizing things and the price he got back was $2200 (including gratuity) for 3 bottles on main floor.

    Questions:

    #1. Price per bottle (including gratuity) seems to have gone from $550 to $730...is this correct?

    #2. 3 bottles seems a bit much for 4-6 people. Is that standard or do they frequently do 2 bottle tables?

    #3. Is "main floor" maybe whats causing the price bump/bottle limit increase and any other general thoughts on things...

    Thanks

    He must not be working directly with a host from the club. A host from the club won't quote "including gratuity".
    Bottle prices did go up a little at Tao recently but not that much. I think Goose is like $425 now. So 3 bottles should be:

    3 @ $425 = $1275 (this would be the "minimum" the host will quote
    Tax = $103
    Server Tip = $255
    Total = $1633

    Add whatever you want for a host tip after that.

    3 bottles is not a bit much for 6 people, especially if one is champagne, which it should be IMO.
    You're going to have to spend the $$$ to get in the main room, so if 3 bottles is too much to drink:
    A. Buy more expensive bottles
    B. Make friends at the club and let them help you drink all them bottles

    Main room has higher limits as the real estate is more valuable. If you want to spend less then you can go Opium Room or Tao Beach.
    But you really want to be in the main room.

    Finally, if your brother isn't working with Chris Traer he's f'n up.....call/text Chris and he'll get you sorted out

      Chuck nailed it.

      Also, one thing to keep in mind is that bottle prices fluctuate like the wind in Vegas - - that's why there is so much confusion, even with people on here who visit a lot or even live there. Best bet is to figure a range of price. You could probably find a 2 bottle table, but it's not going to be in the Main Room. Supply and demand dictate that Main Room tables usually start at a min. of $2,000 (Especially on Tao Worship Thursdays), so unless you're buying some high price bottles or Magnums, you're not gonna hit that min. with 2 bottles.

      In addition, make sure to deal with the club directly, not an Intermediary. Chris Traer is one of Tao's top hosts and he always treats folks from this group very well.

        If I recall correctly the price per bottle will fluctuate at Tao depending on whether it's a prime night for the club. For Thur nights there I thought we always paid around $450 for Goose + tax/tip. Also, the lower level sky boxes (21-23) have always been at least a 3 bottle min regardless of how many people you have. That being said, they will usually allow entrance with a 3-4 person/bottle ratio. So in theory, you can get around 9 people +/- in with that table. Even if you have less people, the min stays the same for those seats unless your group size is much bigger than I mentioned.

          Thanks for the heads up guys. I got a look at the email he got and it was from a 3rd party group, which I sort of suspected and you guys knew it with the gratuity part.

          He wants to talk to his friend who lives here in town and knows a guy at Tao first. I'll let him do that and then if it doesn't sound right we'll give Chris a call.

          Thanks for your help.

            Starting to sound like a better plan. Report back who the "guy" is at Tao that the friend knows. As long as his name is Chris Traer you're good to go

            If I were you I'd ask for Moat 1-3, $1400 minimum, and $300 host tip ($2200 all in). I did this on a Thursday back in April with a group of 6. We had two bottles of VC Rose Champagne (awesome champage btw), a bottle of Goose, 2 free rounds of shots from the host, and a few beers from the bar. We had a blast and only left about 1/3 of the bottle of Goose behind for the bachelor party next to us.

              When it was all said and done, his friend got him a comp'd table at 1OAK and he chose to go there instead of spend the money. Can't blame him for that I guess. I don't know who his contact was.

              I got irritated because my wife and friend both pulled the whole "we're tired" routine when he asked if we were coming because we unexpectedly went to Surrender and SR and didn't get back to Cosmopolitan until 4:30ish the night before. Then we hung out and gambled until midnight at which point my wife says "I guess we should have went to 1OAK". Son-of-a-........

                Just wanted to say that sometimes hosts do add everything up for you and will give you an "all in" price. This is especially true when you hit hosts up with and let them know you're on a budget.

                  Darth, as a Niner fan, you definitely should have him repeat his last name multiple times and he should get better deals with hosts.

                    Maybe when he's the starter? Back-ups are less highly thought of than reality TV personalities.....LOL

                    Plus I figure he's probably not loved too much by all the UNLV alumni around town.

                    You ready for this season or what? I can't wait!
