  • Bar/Club/Pool Recommendations Please

    Hello,

We are heading to Vegas in a few weeks. Unfortunately no big name DJ that weekend so we were just going to get table service at Marquee one evening; XS another. We have one evening open, might go watch a show, but want to know what you Vegas experts recommend we do after the show, preferably a posh/popular spot to have a good time, be a bar or another club.

Another question is we have a fairly small group (3 gals 1 guy). Would like to do pool parties at Marquee or Tao Beach. However, given the temperature, we would prefer to have some sort of shading. Cabanas are of course, ideal, but not sure if they cater to smaller groups on weekends? I'd imagine they'd want to sell it to a bigger group for more money. Any recommendations?

    Thanks very much in advance.

JJ - your ratio is perfect and there's no issue with your group size...yes bigger groups get bigger spots, but you're a paying customer...you need to contact hosts for those spots you wanna hit and request quotes and go from there based on your budget.

You won't be disappointed with XS or Marquee, they're both awesome and expansive...don't let 'em fool ya...they're megaclubs for a reason...haters hate and players play...be a player that hate haters and have a great time....its 3 girls and 1 lucky guy...everyone wins....besides the girls will most likely be comped admission everywhere and the guy is the only 1 that'll have to pay admission....you need to work this as much as possible....you have nothing to lose.....good luck.

Thank you for your input. XS and Marquee (along with TAO) are our favorite clubs when we hit Vegas. We always have a great time and definitely look forward to add some more crazy memories on this trip. I will contact some hosts to see what we can do for Cabanas for a smaller group. Any advice on where to hit on Friday night? I've heard good things about Surrender and Lavo. We'll be partying hard Sat and Sun night, also a pool party during our visit. So ideally we'd want something less crazy (then again when in Vegas...) for one night. Thanks again.

JJ - I feel the same way, Tao, XS, Marquee are always my big 3 which is why I fly in on a Thursday (Tao)....advice on a Friday? Uh why wouldn't you choose Marquee or XS...either way you're good...and do the other one on Saturday....all a win win. Maybe you're already planning for Marquee on Sat, XS night swim on Sunday, then I can understand why you wouldn't hit 'em on a Friday, then you should consider Surrender, Tryst, etc.

              Where are you staying at?
For a fun bar/lounge that is "posh" I would hit Chandelier at Cosmo. If you get the itch, you can go to Marquee.

Surrender might be a good alternative for you on Friday night. It's smaller than XS and Marquee and lot's of room outside. Tables on the inside have less to choose from because there are fewer of them compared to the other ones.

We are set for Marquee on Sat because of DJ. Therefore XS for Sunday as most clubs are closed that day. So that leaves Friday. When we did XS in the past on Sundays, it wasn't Sunday swim. What's the difference? I understand the entire venue will be open regardless of swim or not? Or is it just the outside.

We are staying at the Cosmo so will definitely take a look at Chandelier.

Will look into Surrender as well.

XS nightswim is a seasonal event....dont get it twisted with XS on a friday or saturday...for one they wear beach wear & everyone is outside in & around the pool....i think the inside is blocked off....friday/saturday nights its krazy XS....lots of people loud music and a long ass line to get in...lines, more lines, then sublines of the lines!

Your comment about most clubs are closed on Sunday....ugh where did u get that from? the Bank, Vanity, and others are open!

We've done "regular" XS several times so I think the Sunday night swim is something cool (new) to try. Since temperature will likely to reach 110 on our weekend day time pool party is no-go for me.

What I meant about most clubs are closed on Sunday I meant the tier 1 and popular places like Marquee, XS, Tao, Tryst, etc etc. Thanks very much again for your help.
