Question about Tab for BS

This may seem like any odd question, but is it possible to clear your BS tab with the waitress when you get there if we are just doing the btw min? Would rather get the bill paid up while still in the right frame of mind instead of having to try to pay it at 4am. Let me know if this is possible or just unheard of lol. Thanks

You can pay upfront if you want. I've done this quite a few times. Collected cash from my group and paid at the beginning so we could enjoy the day/night. I would just confirm with the host you're booking through that you'll have the table for the entire night. It's probably the only caveat to paying upfront. Once a few years back at Vanity when we paid upfront, we were told we had to clear our table area out if we were not ordering additonal bottles as they had another group that wanted to pay for the table.

I always run my tab immediately after ordering more bottles, as I don't want some stranger and/or my drunk buddies to be ordering shit on my tab. If I don't run the tab immediately, I always pull the cocktail waitress aside and explain to her that I am the only person in our group authorized to order drinks on the tab for the table. If somebody else orders something, they pay cash or start their own tab. This always works for me, and I have never had a waitress give me grief about it.

yeah i like to pay the tab as they are setting up the table this way you have nothing to worry about the rest of the night, except possibly buying more bottles!

usually I order up to my min, then close it out. Then ask the waitressesto bring out the bottles when we need em so we dont have all the booze on the table

Pay earlier, you don't want to be messed up and not knowing how much you will have to pay

You HAVE to pay for everything upfront.

Say you have a $2000 minimum. You will be charged 2000+tax and tip up front before you get your bottles. The server will bring out as many bottles as you want. So say you order a bottle of goose to start for $550. you now have 1450 left as a credit to spend throughout the night.
