How was your Mid-Week Vegas experience?

Originally I had been scheduled to be in Vegas next weekend but work changed that for me so now I may have to go during the week. I'm debating holding out until I can go on the weekend or just book a Sun.-Tues. Thoughts on Vegas during the week??

What type of crew are you rolling with?
I like Vegas mid-week if I'm going with my fiance and we are trying to be more low key.
At the same token if you have a crazy big crew mid-week is still fun because you will make your own party wherever you go.
Plus hotels, mins. and basically everything across the board is cheaper.
If you only have a small group (like 2-5) I much prefer the weekend.

Sundays are still a good night but Mon/Tues are a bit light IMO. By Wed things are getting busier again. Weekends are by far the most crowded but you can always find something to do on any given night.

yup you can always find something to do on any night. Its just what vibe you are into. Personally our crew likes the weekend crowd since thats what we are used to. I mainly do Fri and Sat. The Sun and Mon are still pretty big though. I do a full week in Nov but its already light crowd around that time to begin with. But still, there is something to do.

My standard trip is Wed-Saturday. Wed is generally kind of low key but not dead, things pickup a bit on Thursday, then Friday is crazy.
I'll stretch it an extra day if I'm feelin' it or cleaning house at the tables. I like the latter-half of the week and one Friday because on Wed and Thurs it's fun but less expensive and not sardined everywhere, then Friday is all out. And then I get Sunday to lick my wounds before returning to the daily grind.

So it appears I could still have a lot of fun going mid-week but the weekend is really where its at. I guess I would only go big one night and relax the rest of the trip. I am definitely not a fan of the sardine effect that happens on the weekend!

the sardine effect isnt so bad. LOL. Make it work for you. Actually easier to get close to women that way and start talking and dancing.

Mid week trips are cool. You just have to do a little more planning. On the weekends there are so many clubs that are at least good, during the week you have to be smart and find the industry nights.

Mon night - Marquee
Tuesday - chill, gamble, and bounce

The overall "buzz" on the weekends is pretty tough to beat but with that said: it's cheeper, it's less packed, and like any Vegas trip it's going to come down to what you make of it. I've had fun doing both, although I have to confess that weekend trips have probably been more memorable.

nvbnr's suggestion sounds like something I would be willing to give a go at.

+1 It all boils down to knowing where to go on certain nights/days during the week. These are the nights where the people who work in the industry go out and support other venues. You can still have a great time during the week.

On the 3 occasions ive been to Vegas we've been for a week and some of our best nights have been during the week. I find that if you follow the info given on these forums, you'll find somewhere that provides the party you are looking for. Looking forward to doing that again this year!

Weekend trips will have an overall more crazy feel b/c of the amount of people everywhere and the pool parties are just crazy Fri-Sun.

But because of the sardine effect unless we have a table I prefer clubbing during the week vs the weekend. GA on the weekends can often feel like frat parties because of the heat and the crowding.

i have done sunday to tuesday before, and besides saving a ton of money. it was crazy fun.

xS sunday night swim, and marquee on monday night. there's not much to do during the day midweek, but there's always something going on at any given night!

Oh one more thing, I guess there's no real way to tell or know but are there any particular hotels that are busier mid week than others? Or is it pretty much a crap-shoot?
