  • Vegas Trip with Only Two Canadian Boys!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I was planning a stag that fell through. Lesson learned from the groom to be... don't sleep with your wife to be's best friend!!! That being said, the Vegas bug was planted in me...and I'm not cheating myself out of a Vegas trip!!!

So, September 27-30 myself and a good buddy (a Vegas Virgin) will be there! I've never gone with just one buddy, so I need a little advice.

Day one... Freemont, craps and site seeing. Easy day since its my buddy's first time.

Day two... need help! I was thinking using the cheap drink thread to plan the day. Carnival Court is my number one choice I think. Now, in the evening I want to make sure we have a memorable night. Because there is only two of us, is bottle service worth it? I'm not interested in GA. That being said, I don't want to spend $500 each plus grat. Any help would be great.

Day three... Pool party. Again I don't want to be wandering around looking out of place. Do you need a cabana to feel "at home?"

Being from Canada I don't get down to Vegas very often, so when I do I want to make sure its memorable... especially with a buddy who is a first timer.

Any expert advice (Chuck lol) would be much appreciated.

I'm not sure when pool season is over but the end of September is getting close...your comment about not interested in GA but you don't wanna spend 500 plus? just contact a host for escorted entry and grease it with a handshake tip...other than that buy presale tix...There are no easy days in Vegas unless you're there for 7 days...your Day one should end up at Tao.
Your Day two you should be at someone's day pool party if they're still in season...possibly MDC.
Your Day three - I'd suggest Wet.
Your Friday and Saturday nights should include XS and Marquee with presale or escorted entry...all worth it, without any $$ drama.

And no 2 dudes don't need a cabana to feel at home, remember you're on a budget. But if you can afford it, then why not? Didn't someone save some cash on a wedding, reception and honeymoon? BTW, there are other options like daybeds, etc.

And I typically hit Vegas with just 1 friend, its actually easier to manage then with a larger group.

      +1
I agree with all of Kman's points. Go big or go home.
As a sidenote, there seems to be a decent contingent from the JC forums that will be there that weekend (including myself). I know of two bachelor parties and Chuck will be there also, we may have our own mini invasion on our hands. Having so any other JC members in town that weekend opens up the opportunities for splitting BS or teaming up to take down the whole city.
      Stay tuned.

Thanks for the great info. When I said 500, I meant 500 each. I was wondering about who to contact (names) regarding b1g1. If we have to spend we will obviously, just want to budget a little. The reason I said I wasn't interested in GA was I hate feeling squished all night. Having a table, at least you have a home base.
You mentioned daybeds? What are the costs for that compared to a cabana?
And the buddy I'm coming down with isn't the guy who was getting married. He won't be doing any vegas trips in the near future lol.

Pool parties should still be going as long as the weather holds out according to this...

Joey from Haze/ 1Oak replied quickly. No b1g1 during the weekend, and bottle start at 445. With tax and gratuity its 600 all in. Now does that include the handshake or just the other gratuities? Are Haze and 1Oak Tier 1 clubs or Tier 2?

That includes gratuity to the Waitress and tax.
Does not include tip to the host or security.
Most people on this board would put Haze and 1Oak tier 2.

Did you reach out to Thomas Gorman @ Pure yet?

Seems steep for a tier 2 after reading some other pricing. I'm still waiting on pure. Will post as soon as I hear.

As far as Tier2 goes...Haze and 1OAK seem to be more like Tier2A from reports of other members.
So not surprising deals aren't to be had on the weekends. I'd just stand by for now, there's plenty of time,
and you may be able to join up with a group anyway and we can all split it up for a bigger night.
Hyde would fall into the top of the 2's also...boy I hope this doesn't spark another club tier debate...

Sounds good. I'm always up for meeting new people, so splitting BS and having a big night sounds good. Chuck, gamepube or any other jc member in Vegas Sept 27-30, send me an IM closer to the weekend.
