need the expet advice from the forum members for NHL pre-party and other questions

Hello all, I need some advice/help for the NHL pre-award parties. I am staying at the Venetian and saw they are having a pre-award party at Lavo hosted by NY Ranger Lundqvist and thought that might be nice to attend for $20 a person. I then thought about the Wynn as that is where the actual awards ceremony will be. They are also having a pre-awards party at surrender and the price is free. That sounds like a better deal as you cant beat free. I went to the link for tickets and they charge 1 cent for the print out VIP tickets. My questions are
1. Would the party at Lavo be that much better that I should pay $20 to go there?
2. Should I go thru the trouble of paying a penny and using the charge card to get the VIP tickets at Surrender?
3. What does the VIP ticket do for me, does it get me in the door faster or assure me entry to Surrender for the party?
4. Where would be the best place to see the hockey players ? Should I go to the Red carpet event at 1600 hours at the Wynn to see things? ( My son is coming and would love to see the players and perhaps get some autographs)

I am a Las Vegas Newbie so any advice is much appreciated. Thanks for any help!!

Henrik Lundqvist is hosting the Lavo one, but the one at Surrender is the actual NHL After Party.

Henrik Lundqvist is quite the pimp, so most of the players might be at Lavo.

If you're staying at Venetian I know in the booklet they give you at check in usually gives you a free comp'd admission to Lavo for the weekend. Not sure if it being a special event effects the validity of the ticket though. I would call and check. But I don't think you should pay $20 for Lavo. I would go with the Surrender party.

Thanks for the Info, I guess I will stick with free at Surrender. Can somone tell me if I should pre-buy the tickets for 1 cent? What is the advantage of pre-buying tickets for the nightclubs/pool events? Do you get in faster? Thanks again!

they're 2 different style of clubs. hyde is more compact insane type party, surrender is more mega club. i don't suggest anything outside if you choose surrender.
