    I was offered a bungalow (a little larger than the Cabana's) at Surrender for a nice minimum and I am really anxious to know if anyone has experience with these as well.
    I started a thread on this a few days and only got one or two responses, hopefully this thread will bear more fruit!

      I reckon it would all depend on the night you are attending. The problem with the cabanas and bungalows at Surrender (in my experience) is that they are at the back of the club, most the traffic, the main bar and dance floor are at the opposite side. Despite this, we had a Cabana on a Wednesday night last year and the club was packed regardless of where you were.

          @lds...Manufactured Superstars will be there Friday 6/22 and Lil John on Saturday 6/23.
          I think in your other post you said the group like Electronic/Techno. If that's the case go for Friday
          6/22 if the price quote is in your budget. They'll have a blast!
          Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

            If you can do inside, do it! I've had a cabana couple times at surrender. If you just want to chill with your group it's perfect, if you want to pick up, it's a little difficult. Surrender has a great atmosphere outside. You have a couple of couches and and a tv! Music volume can be controlled from your cabana, they have speakers inside, and misters when it's hot. What specifically do you want to know?

              Chuck,
              Apologize for my DJ ignorance....I am just a MOM! LOL! Host told me DJ for Friday is Diplo..??? Any rate, min, price quote was definately in my budget, including Tip and Tax. Just received a few other quotes for other locations....XS inside would be $2900, Tryst $2400.00 - waiting to hear back regarding HAZE/1OAK. 3K is not knocking the other places out....however 2k sounds a lot more appealing, as extra 1k could be used for other things over weekend. However do not want to save $$$ at the cost of the experience. You only turn 21 once. Any rate, what are your thoughts....do you think the others are a bigger bang for the buck, or stay with the affordable option, as they will have a great time regardless. Gotta say, host I spoke with sounded like he was a super nice guy....but I am sure all the host mentioned on this site are good.
              Thanks for all you insight!

                        My bad....it's Diplo...still good though. I'm assuming the $2900/2400 for XS and Tryst were minimums correct? Not including tax/tip...
                        Haze/1OAK should come in on budget around $2000 plus tax/tip. If they don't offer a deal like Buy 2 bottles Get 1 free then ask them about it and see what they can do for you.

                        Bottom line, they'll have a blast at Surrender, Haze, or 1OAK. You can't go wrong with the Cabana at Surrender, great DJ, safe place to put their stuff, and an awesome home base for the night especially if the entire group doesn't want to be in center of the 100db madness all night long.

                        Just curious...how are you handling payment? I would suggest not handing them a card to use for the night...it's easy to get carried away even if you don't mean to realize it.

                          The two things that really make the Bungalow a step up are 1) Private Bathroom and 2) Semi-Private Hot Tub (shared with the Bungalow next to you). Their location right next to the gaming pavilion is handy if you wanna throw some dice or play blackjack too. Those units are hard to find for less than $5k during the day (EBC), so on a top DJ night $2.5k min is a steal in my opinion. That said, I agree with the others that from a general admission point of view, you are somewhat cut off from the main scene - but that's why you tip your Host, Security, and Runner if you want them to bring by more peeps for the party

                          The Cabanas are the same, with a little less patio space, and no bathroom or hot tub, but they also fan out towards the main areas of action. Since they go for about $2k during the day, I would personally try to negotiate that a bit. I have done Thursday night (splash dance/dip'n'dance) cabanas for one or two bottle minimums on slow nights no problem with a decent handshake, including last LDW...

                          Just this past trip in May, I did a daytime EBC Cabana, and both a Surrender Daybed (Wednesday) and Surrender Lily Pad (Thursday-splash dance)... the Thursday Lily pad was right next to where they cover up the main pool for dance floor tables... and it was an Afrojack night... so it was awesome... but if you've got a big group it's hard to beat the vip treatment in a Bungalow !!!

                          PS: Chuck makes a good point about security - in addition to special wristbands for Cabana or Bungalow access, you have a typical "hotel room" style safe in the cabinet for safe keeping of wallets, phones, cameras, cash, casino chips... anything you don't want to get wet or stolen. And since we all prance around like fools with our valuable iPhones anyway, the staff is actually quite good about putting any wayward electronics up on the counter in an empty glass or on a napkin for safekeeping.

                              After reading this post I'd recommend asking the host if they would do a $1800 minimum with a $250 tip for the Cabana. That would get them 3 bottles I think and you're total would look like this:

                              Minimum spend = 1800
                              Tax = 146
                              Server Tip = 360
                              Host Tip = 250
                              Runner Tip = 40
                              Security Tips = 40
                              TOTAL = 2636

                              I've never booked for someone else before so I'd also ask the host if you could pay for minimum, tax, and server gratuity up front and send an envelope with the host tip along with them and tell them who to give it to. Then send some cash for the other tips and instruct them on how to use it....coolest mom ever!
