MGM Resorts - July 12-15 - Huh?

I am all for everyone doing whatever makes them happy. However, I am happy that I am not coming in town and staying at Mandalay from July 12-15.

"Fabulous (with a sub-tagline of "A Gay Celebration Las Vegas Style") will take place July 12-15 with Mandalay Bay set as the host hotel although events will range throughout the MGM Resorts family. (In previous years, the event fell in August.)"

Uhhhhh that's just a mini celebration or something I'd guess since I found out that "gay days las Vegas 2012" is scheduled for the same week I'll be there in September.

Im there from 13th to 18th. Not many plans to be around Mandalay Bay tho. The Strip is going to be flamboyant!! LOL

Yyyeah, unfortunately I noticed this "Gay Days" on a convention website after I booked my trip for Sept 5th-8th. Im sure they will be out in full force showing everyone just how gay and open they can be. FML.
Not that Im a gay basher, but I dont really care to see a bunch of dudes grinding up on each other in the pool and at the clubs. Vomit!

Just an FYI. Your favorite clubs in Vegas (xs,marquee,etc) play house music. House music began in early 80's in Chicago catering to the GAY community, then spread to other cities, Europe, etc. So the same community you are trying to avoid so ignorantly is the ones you can thank for the big name DJs playing house music at the clubs.

Technically I'm not a fan of house music it's just what the clubs play so I'm stuck. Also, I'm not "avoiding" the gays. They are welcome to do what every they want. It's no big deal to me, it's not like they are going to stand on the corners recruiting for their team. To each their own. But thanks for the history lesson, if I run into any homosexuals when I'm there I'll thank them for the music.

I'm not avoiding anyone. Do I hang around gay men if at work? Yep - because most of the time when there isn't drama involved, they are funny. Do I want to associate with them after hours? Hell the friggin no. I don't associate with anyone I can't relate to. I went to the Art Institute of Dallas so I have been around gays quite a bit so there goes your weak arguement. Last week I had lunch & the waiter was so flamoyantly gay I had to move his limp hand from my shoulder & tell him to gay it down.

Now I know who to blame.
