  • Plan my mid-week LV trip!

    Hey guys,

Me and a friend are planning on being in Vegas for 2 nights in July. Been trying to make a plan (at least, one you can scribble down on a paper napkin) but the more I read the further I seem to get on finalizing something.

So, I thought you guys could come up with a plan for us. The things you need to know:

    - we're both 23 year-old single guys
    - we want to stay in a hotel full of other people in their 20s
    - we're not looking to do much (if any) gambling - high-rollers we certainly are not
    - we're planning on spending as little time sober as possible
    - we want clubs that are wild and insane and aren't full of old people sitting around in roped-off VIP areas.
    - we're looking to go midweek in order to get better rates on hotels and stand a better chance of getting in to clubs

Armed with that info, I'm looking for you guys to suggest

    - which hotel we should stay in (for instance, I've heard much love for the Cosmo but if Marquee Dayclub and Nightclub aren't open then shouldn't we stay somewhere that has good nightlife on the days we're there?)
    - the two nights we should book (i.e. Mon/Tues, Tues/Wed or Wed/Thurs)
    - the bar/pool we should pre-drink at on both days
    - the club you recommend we go on each night.

I'm not looking for someone to book me rooms or get me on guest lists - inspiration is what I'm after, that's all!

    Over to you...

    .
your list is hilarious...by the numbers...

#2 - no such thing...thats everywhere...guess that means no Circus Circus
#5 - Can't do if you follow #6...what old people in VIP areas? I think those are 23 year old girls
#6 - makes absolutely no sense...clubs are poppin on the weekends...you wanna have fun, you go when they're packed. Its June and you haven't booked your room for July, so all bets are off, you ain't getting a good rate at a great hotel on the strip...you might find last minute deals as they try to sell off the rooms so it is possible.

Your plan of attack should be...get a room, read the forum about which tier 1 clubs are poppin on which nights, plan your agenda and no one typically does Vegas in 2 days...good luck with that marathon! you're hardcore!

And yes your chance of getting in a club midweek is great, but thats cause they're not the main nights! You gotta do the research and pick the right night (Wed - Lavo, Thur - Tao), etc, etc.

Planning way ahead of time increases your chances of getting into clubs, cause you're going to arrive early, get in contact with a VIP host to get on his list, or buy advance tix....all because you've planned.

Hotel - Cosmo, Palms, Elara Towers.

      Monday - XS or Marquee
      Tuesday - 1OAK
      Wednesday - Surrender
      Thursday - Tao, Tryst, Haze

      Now just pick your nights.

I disagree with the poster above me. Industry nights are just as busy and fun. There are always club outings and industry people know how to fucking party.

There are still plenty of deals to be had for rooms. Checkout my thread on the Resorts section. Id go Wed/Thurs and hit Surrender/Tryst or Tao. You can also get free roundtrip flights from Southwest if you get signed up for one of their Visas right away. Let me know if you want to do that and I will provide more info.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.
