  • Casual Bar Nights

    Hi Guys,

We are in vegas for ten days, we have 6 table nights booked and 2 pool parities. We want to have a few bar nights that are casual in dress, but still can have a good time. I've never been to Carnival court but heard that's a good shout?

    Is there anywhere else?

I was trying to figure out the same thing and then it dawned on me. A bar crawl through downtown! Super casual and plenty of fun things to do. My group is going to take a party bus down the strip and have it drop us off downtown and pick us up like three hours later. Apparently, the newly expanded downtown area has some decent new bars.

A quick trip downtown isn't a bad idea for a casual, get drunk cheap night. On the strip Carnival Court is awesome, you can also do the Chandlier Bar and Bond in the casino area of Cosmo. Both of those are fantastic. The Pub at Monte Carlo is good. Planet Hollywood has a few spots you can bounce around to as well. Margaritaville gets love from the forum as well.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

rhumbar at mirage is a good spot also. outdoor area is real nice. not super casual, but certainly don't have to dress like you're going to a club either. and they have hookahs!

Carnival Court is a great spot (thanks to Chuck for that recommendation!) Also, I like starting the night at Todd English's P.U.B. right outside the Aria - cool scene, decent food, and if you can chug a beer before the timer runs out it's free.

Todd English Pub at Aria is legit! If you're feeling like some meat get one of their "Carving Board" selection (actually, split it with someone else...it's a lot of meat). The beer chug sounds easy....I barely made it. It's a heavy beer...not a Bud Light

Is downtown worth a visit for some bar hopping?

Downtown is good for a cheap night of getting smashed. The crowd is pretty trashy....sorry....but it is...no real nice way to say it.
                Assuming you're talking Fremont Street.

I totally agree and my crew is doing the same thing during our trip. Cheap booze in huge containers with $2 blackjack, this is sluming it in Vegas.

I couldn't agree with this more. The girl and I went down for a "day trip" last time we were there. It ended up lasting just over an hour....

If you dont mind a bit of a different crowd, it has some cool spots.
