Who has used "Get Connected"?

If you've used the "Get Connected" threads to meet up with other forum members to share bottles or just hang out...what was your experience? Our mothers and 60 Minutes have done well to warn us of all the nasty people lurking on web forums so most people are hesitant to go this route. I think some experiences from other members would help others like myself who have not done this to feel more comfortable with it.

A lot of us have met on get connected. It's not full-proof, but I've never heard of any BAD experiences really. Most of us on the boards seem to be like-minded individuals

At one point or another, none of us really knew eachother...now we have best friends, relationships, babies...etc all through "get connected" ONE BIG FAMILY!

If I know i have out of town friends on a certain weekend i'll PM people in the get connected section and invite them to join our group. I don't mind. So far though I've only met up with co21 and his brother and they were cool guys. Other people tend to flake the days of...they get too drunk during the day...or expect me to have some sort of hook up since I live here lol....that's not how it works.
