Been reading the forums but before I contact Chris T and bother him, I'd like to get an idea if BS is worth it this night.
It's a special event (Apollo Road) with ATB and Dash Berlin (EDC week) so prices will most likely be higher than normal right?
Another big factor is that we won't get to the club until midnight because we're driving from LA after work.
Looking at the floor plan of TAO (thanks Chuck!), what kind of minimum + host tip are we looking at for tables 30-35 & 40-44 for a group of 3 (1 female). Is this even possible with a small group?
First time planning BS so any advice is welcome. Thanks!

If you spend $4500 then tax will be $366 and tip will be $900. Assuming you do like $500 host tip you're looking at $6300. If it were me...I'd add an extra $20 per person on top of that to cover the other tips (security, runner, bathroom attendants) cause someone will get stuck with those tips. And, you'll want to have a little cushion for going over your minimum. It's easier to give some money back than to hit people up for more.Originally posted by ad3c View PostAh so regardless of event it should stay the same right?
And just to confirm, the tax will be calculated off of the 4500 correct? Excluding tip? I don't wana ask my host too many $ questions lol. I just want to knw how much to collect from the guys. Thanks again.

The tax and tip is calculated off your final bill, if that's $4500 exactly, then yes. Don't worry about asking the host too many questions, you're spending YOUR money to have a good time, you should be very clear about all the details.

the 375 are thursday pricing, on weekends add 100 to it. and they add tip already at 20%Originally posted by ad3c View PostI actually booked two tables that night. I believe its called lower skybox. 4500 min each table for up to 22 guys each. Decent price and I like the larger room type of table. Basically my goal was less than 300$ each so even at 20/table it works.
can anyone tell me the bottle pricing? I read online that it starts at 350 and goose/belvi/jd are 375. Can anyone confirm this? So if that's accurate then 12 bottles for 20 should be sufficient, well theoretically anyways lol.
and is it 30% that you're supposed to add for tax/tip or 20% plus 8.5%? I've never had to organize tables before.
thanks.

In my experience, on a busy night, usually not common to find yourself/group moving to a better table location. Unless you decide to take extra care of your host ($$$) and let him know you want to settle elsewhere then the location you were set up with. If you want assurance that you won't be put in a crappy location then agree to a 2 bottle min so Chris can get you a better location than a 1 bottle min table.Originally posted by rave View PostThanks guys. I contacted Chris and he got back to me right away. He set me up with a one bottle minimum. He can't tell me the table location until we get there, understandably, but with such a low minimum, I'm afraid it might be in a bad location. Any advise on which tables to avoid? I've read of a couple experiences on this forum where groups got to change tables during the night. Is it common to switch tables after everything is settled?
Chris will definitely take care of you tho, I had the pleasure of meeting him 2 weekends ago and he definitely took care of JC people.
I would say get there really early considering it's EDC week/weekend to make Chris's job easier and getting you a good table but you won't be arriving till prime time so it's all up to luck what spot you'll get for the night.

Yeah, for TAO/TAO Beach, just play it safe and go directly through Chris Traer. He'll always take care of you and give you an accurate/reasonable price.

We took advantage of this during mAyOD and it worked nicely. The waitress or runner can put your bottle away while you're doing whatever you're doing away from your table and bring it back upon your return but make sure to tip as Chuck said.Originally posted by Chuck View PostTo expand on leaving your table...since you've tipped your runner appropriately when you arrived just ask him if he can take your bottle while you're away. I'm sure he'll be happy to oblige such a generous tipper.
