BS @ TAO - June 7th

Been reading the forums but before I contact Chris T and bother him, I'd like to get an idea if BS is worth it this night.

It's a special event (Apollo Road) with ATB and Dash Berlin (EDC week) so prices will most likely be higher than normal right?

Another big factor is that we won't get to the club until midnight because we're driving from LA after work.

Looking at the floor plan of TAO (thanks Chuck!), what kind of minimum + host tip are we looking at for tables 30-35 & 40-44 for a group of 3 (1 female). Is this even possible with a small group?

First time planning BS so any advice is welcome. Thanks!

It will definitely be worth it and almost required. It will be PACKED to the point of uncomfortable if you don't have your own space.

As for pricing, you'll need to contact Chris for that. Given the DJ and it being EDC/fight week, I'm sure the mins will be elevated.

I just got back from the mAyOD invasion and we all went to TAO on thursday. I tried to check out the whole club and for sure it gets crowded. I ended up hanging out at TAO Beach for a bit and it was also a good time. We were there most of the time. So look into every possible table and know that you could be anywhere in the club and just go back to your table when you want a refill.

This past April I did the table called "Moat 2" for a $1400 min and $400 tip with a group of 6 (3 guys/3 girls). The 30's and 40's tables are typically in the $2000-3000 range I think, check with Chris to be sure, but I know those are a bit more expensive. The table we were at was perfect though. Great traffic, two steps up into the "Moat" which is where you are hoping to be, and you are directly underneath the bathing ladies

It was an awesome location...this was in April so I'm guessing the same table would cost a little more in the summer, depending upon how busy they are.

No...bottles are less at Tao so $1400 is more like 3 bottles. Here's exactly what I got: 1 Goose, 2 Veuve Rose, 12 waters, and drinks from the bar, and Chris hooked up a round of Patron shots (they were huge btw) and a round of other shots I don't recall what. I have no idea how many drinks from the bar cause I lost the receipt and was too distracted by having the time of my life to care about going over my minimum. When I got my statement I was pleasantly surprised to find I was just ahair under my minimum.

To expand on leaving your table...since you've tipped your runner appropriately when you arrived just ask him if he can take your bottle while you're away. I'm sure he'll be happy to oblige such a generous tipper.

We took advantage of this during mAyOD and it worked nicely. The waitress or runner can put your bottle away while you're doing whatever you're doing away from your table and bring it back upon your return but make sure to tip as Chuck said.

Yeah, for TAO/TAO Beach, just play it safe and go directly through Chris Traer. He'll always take care of you and give you an accurate/reasonable price.

Thanks guys. I contacted Chris and he got back to me right away. He set me up with a one bottle minimum. He can't tell me the table location until we get there, understandably, but with such a low minimum, I'm afraid it might be in a bad location. Any advise on which tables to avoid? I've read of a couple experiences on this forum where groups got to change tables during the night. Is it common to switch tables after everything is settled?
