  • Good time to visit

Just done our first trip over the weekend of mayweather v cotto. It wasn't planned around the boxing and we would have preffered it not to be on as it pushed all our minimums up.

Looking ahead to the next trip it looks like may or september are popular choices with the boys as it is not as hot as june, july or august.

We would avoid MDW and labour day for the same reason as the boxing with prices going up. Of those 2 months when is concidered a better time to go? We still want it to be hot for pool parties and for it to be busy. Help me out here. Cheers!

August is great...hot as a moflo but I like Vegas hot. As I recall hotels will be a little cheaper in August. May get better deals on pools and tables in Sept though since things will be winding down. Check the conventiin calendars and stear clear of any big ones as that will drive up hotel prices.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Vegas is much slower in August and the hotels, clubs, tables, etc are all cheaper. However it is incredibly hot.

I prefer second week of Sept. It is still warm, but not July warm and depending on the person football season is going. So the sportsbook are much more fun. I have gone in Sept before and really did not notice anything overly expensive as far as hotels, clubs, or airlines.

Can't go wrong with that either.

Is vegas pretty much busy may thru to sept? I understand that public holidays will be the busiest times. Its kind of a catch 22 as we want to avoid paying the premium a fight weekend or public holiday brings but we obviously want pools and clubs to be near on selling out.

Maybe I'm over thinking it but its a long way for us to come and find things are a bit on the quiet side.

Only time I've ever considered Vegas to be "quiet" was Monday-Wednesday in mid October during conferences...other than that, it's hoppin' all summer

Hoppin all summer...that's just what I wanted to hear chuck! Cheers buddy. Aiming for the weekend before MDW for the next trip. If not then it will be june or september. Either way it can't come soon enough!
