Host vs. Promoter

I'm arriving from NY tonight. I'm used to promoters who walk my friends and I into clubs and we don't pay a cover charge. We sit at his private table with bottle service. Is that what a host does in Vegas?

Second question. My girlfriends and I are arriving around 10 pm tonight. What is a good place with house music to go to tonight?

Yeah I saw that but seems like the lines will be massive and the super crowded. Any other suggestions for a club that plays house music. And with a diverse crowd? I've been reading certain places seemed to be mostly Asians for instance.

Gold at Aria has house tonight and should have a diverse crowd.

Edit: Gold is technically a lounge, they have $20 open bar from 10-12. Hyde would be good also I think.
Tryst and Haze will be good tonight but more of a top40 mix I think.

I know what you mean, LAs exactly the same. For Vegas though hosts generally have more ability to add you to a client table or an all girls inhouse table, etc. Promoters generally offer more of a quick comped entry and sometimes open bar on certain nights.

With that being said the promoters can have someone seat you at a table as well, but you're specifically looking for a host in Vegas.

Open bar is $20 for ladies $40 for guys. Pretty sure you buy it at the door. Runs for two hours so if you get 5 drinks in its worth it.
