Its pretty fucking serious. I dont know how in shape you are and I honestly dont know if it matters. I thought I was fairly in shape but it kicked my ass very quickly. I couldnt stick with it but I could see how if you did you would get crazy ass results. I stuck with it for two weeks and saw/felt results.

I've done a round of P90X and kicked around the idea of Insanity - it's crazy cardio focused. I may give it a go later this year, but opted instead to do another round of P90X for now.

Totally in the wrong section of the forums :P
Anywho, i'm a independent beachbody coach and a graduate of various programs. Im a skinny dude and alter the program calenders for mass gain instead of weight loss. I finished p90x December of last year and loved it, finished p90x2 in March and now im finishing an Insanity/P90x2 hybrid in 3 weeks. Just in time for EDC! Needless to say, Insanity is frikin crazy lol. If youre looking to shed weight this is the program if you can dedicate effort into it. BUT i do recommend at least going through a round of p90x before even attempting Insanity. If you cant keep up with the DVD dont worry but just stick with the program and before you know it youll be keeping right up with the DVD. Contact me if you need assistance.-------------

I didnt really like the caffeine based preworkouts. Since its so cardio based I felt like my heart was going to burst out of my chest granted I only drink water or juice so i am not use to all the caffeine.Originally posted by WT661 View PostAny fitness peeps or P90/Insanity users. I go with nitro amino fx, fish oil, multi and whey protein. Its pretty basic but i suck at keeping routines so i have to keep it simple.

I've done a round of P90x and was going to start a second round but hated having to spend like 90 mins on it ... by the time you do the main workout and the ab ripper it was just a lot of time... figured the ~45 mins of insanity would fit my schedule better so I tried it,
... I figured since I've played soccer my whole life (good cardio) and finished P90x Insanity wouldn't be to bad, I was wrong. Like others have said, it is tough!
... its basically 100% cardio, intense cardio. I could play a whole 90 mins in soccer game as a mid-fielder and sweat only a small amount, insanity had me actually dripping sweat, it was gross.
I made it to day 40 and then basically destroyed my ankle wakeboarding so had to stop, but it is a crazy good work out.

Dont use jack3d or any pre-workout stimulant with the ingredient DMAA (Dimethylamylamine). Most of them have been pulled off the market by the FDA and most reputable sites have pulled them from their inventory as well. Use something like Beachbody's E&E (energy and endurance) or MusclePharm's Assault. Both are Nitric Oxide based pre workout stimulants and i've personally tried both. Amazing products to get you through the workouts.Originally posted by WT661 View PostAny fitness peeps or P90/Insanity users. Anyone using supplements while doing these programs? Jack3d?-------------

I started on the P90 and it was just too slow for me. I honestly havent been working out for a couple years so I would be considered not in greatest shape.
I tried out Insanity and I like the pace better. I like Insanity that its shorter and its actually moves that are easy to do. There were a couple things I couldnt go all out on such as the push ups and jump into standing position because of an ankle injury last Dec. But most of the stuff are doable for someone that doesnt really do that much cardio.
After 2 weeks I felt much more flexible and able to do certain things I couldnt do before. I do watch what I eat but not to the exact program as Insanity. I've seen some weight loss but not significant yet like how others gain from it.
My #1 goal is to manage my blood pressure which is starting to get up there. So just being able to get through the 30-45min is a big jump from being inactive. After 3 weeks I included weights into my exercise program as well as running 2-3 times a week. I used to have a hard time just jogging 1/4 mile, but I'm more confident now in tackling longer distances. I just did a 5K walk/run while pushing a stroller 2 weeks ago. LOL.
I havent been super strict on following the 60day schedule on a day to day basis, but just doing the workouts itself has made a significant difference in my lifestyle.***Feb 2012 - Aria - Marquee *** March 2012 - Encore - Marquee, Surrender

I've been doing rounds of Insanity on and off for almost a year now. It is THE MOST INTENSE WORKOUT you may ever try. However, that also means results! I'm 35 and in the best shape I've ever been in and I'm almost wearing the same size I was in HS. It's hard but if you stick with it, you will see crazy improvement even without supplements or changes in your diet.

Damn all of you, hard to ignore this thread w/o saying stuff...I'm guessing the OP wasn't aware of an original thread that covers a similar discussion:

Any program will work if you are disciplined and consistent.
The big 3 provide a change for those of us that get bored after a minute, P90X2, Insanity and Asylum.
Its funny how peeps think any of this is new, if you've ever taken a "total conditioning" or "bootcamp" class at a full svc gym, you'll notice the moves are the same.
I suggest black coffee or an expresso right before you w/o...at least you know what's in it, and it won't be recalled in a few months by the FDA anytime soon.Originally posted by WT661 View PostAnyone using supplements while doing these programs? Jack3d?
You'd be surprised how much you can accomplish just by saving your $$$ spent on the latest supplement and just eating clean...
Here's my recipe:- diet is 65%,
- lifting weights 20%,
- sweaty sustained cardio 5%
- new clothes 5%
- teeth whitened 5%
- fresh haircut and a shave 5%
- fresh pedicure 5% =
