Group of 2 guys and 8 girls. Club passes needed?

Hi all,

A group of 10 of us are due to hit Vegas between May 31 and June 5 and there will be 2 guys and 8 girls. I understand that the idea of the "Ultimate Las Vegas Nightclub Hopping Package" that you see advertised on many websites might be frowned upon in these circles but thought I'd get your opinion anyway.

You'll have probably heard of these packages which cost £66/$99 and allow "skip the line" entry into many clubs. 3 of my friends (all guys) bought these passes for their trip last year and said they were great - hardly any waiting and entry to clubs included.

I've been reading this site in detail and it mentions that girls pay far less for entry to clubs than guys do (and sometimes girls go free) so would spending $99 on these passes be a complete waste of time for us? As I'm going with one other guy and 8 girls so you think we'd get better treatment from door staff due to the guy:girl ratio and not need these passes?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

IT all depends.

*Which club you are going to: Some clubs are easy to get into no matter what night. The top tier clubs get more packed and have longer lines.

*Who is the headlining DJ that night: The top tier clubs bring in so many people and with big named DJ, the lines can get real long. Some cases can be at capacity and you'll need to do a pre-sale ticket or bottle reservation to get in.

*What time you plan to get to the club: If you're early enough in line, you can get on a guestlist before hand and the girls can get in for free and only the guys will have to pay.

The hotter your group of girls are, the less money your group will spend. I wouldn't buy any club hopping pass. Contact hosts at each venue, give them your ratio and work something out. Again, the better looking the girls are, the stronger your negotiation position is.

I'd also like to add that the girls should have a good attitude about going in and for them to tip the host too. Though the girls not tipping is not necessary, the hosts will appreciate it.

I agree with everything stated above. I f you can arrive at a decent time the girls will get in free via guestlist and the guy will get in discounted, I don't know anything about that package, but you can also get passes which include the same deal and extend your arrival time by an hour. Best bet with that good of a ratio is just to contact the Promoter/Host at whichever venue you're interested in and get on their guestlist.

Excellent, thanks for the replies guys. We'll not bother with the passes then and get on some guest lists.

How early do you recommend I contact the promoter/host to get on the list for, say, Tryst or XS. Same day? Day before? A few days before?

A couple days before or even the day before is usually good. We do have to submit our lists by a certain time every night, so definitely don't wait till the night of.
