  • Fathers' Day Weekend - Impact on Crowds

What's the consensus on Father's Day? Strong chance I might be out there - Anyone think there's a chance on a good sized crowd that weekend?

I ask this only because I went on Mother's Day weekend a few years ago and it turned out to be a HUGE mistake. I'd never seen Vegas so dead. By far my worst trip ever. Day scene, night scene, just didn't matter. Took me a day or two to realize what had happened, but the effect was obvious.

Does anyone think Father's Day will have a similar, harmful effect on young crowds?

Zero impact, IMO. Nor do I believe Mother's Day was the reason your previous trip didn't go well.

To be fair, it was May '09 and Vegas was nowhere close to recovering from the impact of the recession. So it's possible crowds were nowhere near normal levels. But trust me, we hit everywhere worth hitting. Absolutely DEAD.

Honestly, I dont think it would make a difference. If anything what would make a difference is timing on things such as colleges getting out or finals. Generally starting May, its been pretty busy until end of the summer.

All depends if any major sports thing happening too. Like Pacquiao fight on June 8, even if EDC wasnt on the same weekend, would bring in so many people to Vegas.

          +1

Mother's Day and Father's Day have absolutely no impact on Vegas. Probably just a coincidence that it was dead the weekend you were there.

regardless of what weekend you come, vegas should be controlled chaos compared to what you are use to.
