I had a blast at 1OAK when we were there for the invasion. The group had 2 of those big horseshoe tables next to each other up by the entrance. Music was great for those of us not into the EDM scene.

We tried to wander around to check the place out at first, and it was so slammed you couldn't even get to the other side of the big bar down to the right. After being shoved around and stepped on, we just turned around and slowly made our way back to the group. Would've been beyond miserable if we hadn't had a table to chill at.

Those of us who weren't drinking from the bottles had to wait a LONG time for drinks at the bar. We were up at the smaller bar on the left just as you enter. You could be standing there right up front, money in hand, and not get a drink for a good 15 minutes. This is another reason I preach: ORDER DOUBLES. A single = $14/$15, a double = $20/$22.

Overall, it was a great time. It's all about who you're with, but having somewhere to breathe certainly helps.
Oh, P-tr-ck, I STILL need to borrow your German Leg Breaking Machine....Thx.

Is that standard at most clubs that a double is only $5-6 more?

Yup. This has been the case at Tryst, Tao, the Bank, Marquee, 1OAK, and XS. For some reason, I remember the Bank's drinks being the most expensive, $16 for a single I think, but a double was only $20. Cup full o' vodka w/ a splash of soda.
