  • Marquee Nightclub - Do they offer table minimums instead of bottle service?

Long time reader, first time poster....

I'll be heading to the Cosmopolitan in a week and Benny Benassi is playing at Marquee on Friday night, so it will be busy. Fortunately as hotel guests, we get to skip the line and cover before 11pm.

I'd rather not get there at 11pm, but could I really justify getting a table since the big expense of cover and waiting in line will be avoided. I know it's Vegas, but these guys are into the allure of being the cool guy with a table and bottles everywhere. It would however be good to have one to chill out or relax for a bit if you wanted to.

    1. There are 10 guys
    2. We don't mind spending money, but half these guys cannot throw around $300 a night. (Weddings/Home buying in everyone's future.)

With that said, does Marquee offer table minimums where we could spend say $1500 minimum in any kind of booze/beer? I've done it at Pure and Tao in the past, but I know every club is different. We don't really care where the table is, as long as it's not in the bathroom :-)

        All right.....

Any idea what the table minimum would be for a Friday?

Can you contact any Marquee hosts? (I know they can't participate in this particular forum)

Any disadvantage to doing table minimum vs. bottle service? I know the waitress has to do more work, but if she's getting $300 alone just from me for the night, I certainly don't feel bad making her goto the bar a few extra times.

No, almost all the clubs have moved to a minimum versus a number of bottles anyway.

Good to hear. I can't twist my friends' arms, and they all set a $200/night limit for 4 nights. This doesn't include the "Dayclubs," dinners, strip club, etc.
I'm in charge of making it happen within their budget of $3k in spending per person for a 4 day trip.

I guess the question is, is a shitty table better than no table?

If your looking for a recommendation for a host try Justen Crews 303 229 0618 really good guy to deal with. If you want a better table with a lower min telling the host how much your willing to tip always helps Text is preferred over email or calling in most cases.

I can tell you last summer my group of 8 guys had the first day bed outside at the head of the pool of Marquee on a Friday Night for Chucky during EDC weekend. $1500 was the minimum. We were able to get 2 bottles and a case of beer and some bottled waters. After all the taxes and tips it was something like $2200. Was it worth it? I'd say no. We partied hard that day at Tao Beach. Still had to get there early for them to hold our table, and we ended up giving most of the liquor away as we didn't have any real down time after the pool to get ready for round 2. Best bet is if you're a guest at Cosmo is to get there early walk in for free, get stamped and come back later.

I'd caveat though that with the table min, most of it is expected to be used on bottles. I'd imagine a pretty ticked off waitress if it was all cocktails and beers.

Also, from reading you're post, I get the impression you think table min would be cheaper than a bottle min? That's not really the case at all...

                    $500 = 1 bottle

                    same thing.

EX. if you have a 4 bottle minimum, you won't have a problem buying 2 bottles of goose ($1000 total) and a bottle of dom ($1200ish) to meet your 4 bottle minimum.

Def harder to keep track of your spend if youre ordering a lot from the bar. Shit could get way outta hand and you wouldnt know it till you got the bill.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

At that spend you'd be on the patio.

I'd wager too, since you have a strict budget, that being on the patio is better than not being there at all.

So - go for it. I'd recommend you pay in cash and remember that $1,500 is just the beginning - there's tax (8%), grat (20%), and LET (Live Entertainment Tax) 10% on top of that.

$1500 for Benny Benassi will put you in the Dayclub/Patio area which will be packed, have the same music as main room and lots of foot traffic. It's a nice spot if you don't mind being outside in a rooftop club (I prefer it over the crazy dancefloor).

That $200/person wont cover at $1500 min.. with tax, tip, etc., youre at about $2100.. few (or all) of you guys are gonna have to put out $10-20 more (which shouldnt be that big of a deal considering your in vegas). thats assuming you arent tipping the runner, the security, or host.. at which point, you may end up being around $300/person
