I've actually been eying Toms. I'll probably get a pair or two next chance I get.

Chinos, different colours and v-neck t-shirts, worked a treat.

Although I think it is awesome what "Tom" is doing with his company by helping people out... Toms aren't much above Crocs in my book as far as style.

... like others have said, if they're claen and you're shelling out for BS I think they're okay...GA maybe if you have like 15 girls on your arms, but otherwise na

I dont see anything wrong with them, especially in the summer months. Although, I do think there are better shoes out there if thats the look you're going for.

They're essentially bedroom slippers. I'm not with you on them giving you "a sweet cut look." Maybe just "a sweet look" and not a good sweet.

My kids wear Tom's. They go to private elementary school. They are not allowed to wear Tom's to school because they are not nice enough. And you think these are okay to wear to some of the top nightclubs and most extravagant hotels in the US (if not the world)?
Maybe you could wear them with shorts to a pool party. Be prepared to have to run back to your room for a shoe change if you can't get into the club. Or just whip out your credit card, run to a store and buy appropriate shoes. Just leave your Tom's near a trash can. They'll probably still be there on your way home at 4 am.

Good to hear the different opinions, I'll be packing everything so I'm sure I'll be safe when there, not everyone's a fan I take that, but we wouldn't all wear the same shirt on a nite out would we....

There's definitely a UK / US divide on this one! I'm not a fan of the leather shoes most guys wear in the US...the big bulky type I see most of you rocking. In the UK we go for the slicker pointier look but no doubt that would get mocked in the US!

In all honesty...I wouldn't wear Toms to a club...no idea why you'd want to.

Tom's can be dressed up with the right outfit it seems. Gives the semi casual/comfortable rugged look... I could see myself doin something like this (*minus the goofy smile).

As long as you're dressed fine, I can't see why someone should make a big deal. Who the hell defines Men's fashion anyway? Is it any better to walk in a club and see 1000 guys wearing some variety of black/brown slip-on leather dress shoes?

I could go to ********'s and put together a Vegas acceptable outfit for $50 head to toe and look like 85% of the people in the clubs.
Most people aren't going into the clubs seeking approval of every guy in the joint.

                            1. If you're spending $4k in a club, there should be some flexibility as to what you can wear as long as your pants aren't touching your ankles and you have construction boots on.

                            2. If you're looking for a chick, you probably want to find one who likes you for what you normally wear, not some outfit you're forced to put on to fit in.

BTW, I'm not saying I like Toms or even knew what they were until 10 minutes ago, but they don't strike me as something that deserves refusal of entry.

I was ready to disagree with you because of your screen name alone, but you sir are 100% correct.

Don't know why you guys are so upset over this. He might be able to pull it off, especially since he isnt from here. I say go for it.
