  • Anyone been to Pure recently

Based on recommendations about Thomas Gorman as a host, I booked a table at Pure for Friday June 1. Most likely I will be in the outside terrace but might get into the main room.

I've never been to Pure so my question is, what type of music do they play on Friday's in the main room and what do they play on the terrace? Also, in the summer is the terrace as good of a spot for a table as the main room? I had heard that the main room can get hot so that the terrace actually is a pretty good place to be with alot of action. I was curious if anyone could give me an idea of how the two areas compare on a Friday? If the main room would be better, I'll just bump up my minimum to get the main room. If the terrace is just as good of an atmosphere, then I'll just keep the terrace. Any advice?

Sorry for the rookie question...I go to Vegas alot but have never really been to any of the nightclubs. Also I am aware that there are better choices than Pure but they would have been a little too pricey for some of the others in my group.

Yikes. 105 page views, but no one knows what area is better.

Sorry i can't help you. Haven't been to Pure in years. I know they still draw a good crowd.

If you dont like the initial location ask the host to move you to another table. Throw him another $100 bucks and ask him for another option.

The main room get's really packed. Especially the dancefloor. Pure plays a mash of everything, last time i went was like 3 months ago and i heard everything from michael jackson to chris lake that night. We had a table in the terrace. I enjoyed the location, there was plenty of people walking around and you have a nice view. They still draw a big crowd and you will find a variety of everything.

Like tc3 said, if you want to change your location once you're there , tip the host and it should be no problem.

I had a table in the main room, right beside the dance floor, its not bad it gets kinda hot, but you can always just go upstairs to the terrace for some fresh air. The Terrace is a pretty nice set up, with a lot more room to move and mingle.

It's been a while since I've been there, but just like said above the main room does get packed. I'd consider it now the OG of clubs. That would have gone to Studio 54, but they shut that down and are opening up something else there now.

Even though there's a lot of new spots, it has great marketing and I'd definitely check it out again.

Regarding the rooms, it's tough for me to pick. I've done the Terrace many times and I find depending on the DJ for the Terrace to play more electronic music while the Main room will play more open-format.

The big reason I'd pick the main room is because its music is more suited to my tastes over the course of a night in a club.

However, the upsides of the Terrace is the view (especially if you can get a table along the railing (can't remember the table numbers), the fresh air (which is great in the summer) and it's "slightly" easier to talk outside.

I've always used Thomas Gorman in the past - great guy.

We were there a few months ago and had a main room table by the elevator/bar (not right next to the dance floor) - I loved the table, it was a bit removed from the chaos but still close to the dance floor. Like was said before the music was a bit of everything, a nice mix.

We did a table on the Terrace last July (Friday night). It was okay, but nothing spectacular in my opinion. It's obviously not as high-energy as the main room, so if you're looking to dance and rock out, then I would recommend the main room. Keep in mind the main room gets PACKED, to say the least.

If I remember correctly, the music consisted of top 40/mash up/electro/hip hop, basically everything. I don't recall hearing much of it on the patio though, but that could just be my foggy memory of that night.

Regarding temperature, the main room does get warm as it quickly fills up. I recall being pretty comfortable on the Terrace (wearing jeans/blazer) and it was a warm July night.

                          Hope this helps.

+1, went through Thomas as well and the host that seated us sat us in the side room which was HORRIBLE, I hit Thomas up and he had the host move us to the elevator table & we loved it! It's not right in the middle of the crowd but close enough with a ton of foot traffic & right next to the elevator that goes up to the terrace if you need to get some quick air. it's two sections but we lucked up & got both sections since no one was sitting in the other one & we had a hell of a time. This is the location I'll always request should we hit Pure up again.

                              3 bottles at least.
