If you are fun crew, then a non-main room table at a Tier 1 will be fine. We hit Surrender last Friday with a fun group (3 couples) and sat near the gaming area. The main floor was packed and people were raging. But our area had plenty of action and we met tons of people (and we are all married. 6 guys with any type of personality and average looks will have fun).
We gambled at Luxor on Thursday night and their club - Lax (Tier 2, I think) looked pretty rough. Looked like everyone had bought one of the Groupon Party passes. But, it was a Thursday, so maybe it's a little better on weekends. If you go tier 2, I would say go to Pure. Been there a few times and I like that you can go outside and see the strip.
the boombox room at Marquee is too small to do a table...and there's already 6 guys at the table, that'll go great with the already typically one sided ratio of guys to girls in the boombox room lol!
Your goal should always be in the spot where the most women will be...I'm guessing by default that's tier 1. At least at the tier 1 spots, you have great spots to be that may not be actual "main room", like the outside at XS or Marquee...still great locations! Its like saying should I roll to the Super Bowl or to the Pro Bowl...the stars will be at both, but really...c'mon even the skrippers know which one to attend
Maybe there's somethin to this tier 2 and tier 3 thing...I've never ever considered it. I could be missing out. I wonder if women consider the "level or tier" of a club when they decide to roll thru....hmmmm

honestly I've never noticed that 1 sided ratio and always have had great success there....maybe I'm always just too hype to notice it
What are peoples preferences on a Friday or Saturday for 6 guys? Main room at a Tier 2 or non main room at a tier 1?
Thanks
If you only make it to a club once or twice a year I'd go Tier 1. Even if you plan on a lower end location at a Tier 1, if you take care of the host you may just get lucky and find yourself at a great table in a tier 1.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

I hope it is better on weekends. I was assuming all clubs are good on weekends and since we are staying at Luxor at the end of the month we thought about stopping there. I have never been there.

Lax is cool on Wednesdays. I don't think it's worth going to on the weekend though

Yeah, there were definitely more dudes than girls, but it wasn't an issue since I was preoccupied
The best thing about the boombox room was access to the outside patio area to get to the bathroom, peeps smoked, you could finish a conversation, and you could close the deal w/o the annoyance of the tight spaces in the main boombox area.

Marquee's Dayclub/Patio area gets quite busy at night as well. As long as the weather's nice its a great party all in itself and a good location for a smaller minimum table then the main room.

Totally agree. Both times I've done bottles at marquee, we've chosen to sit outside. Lower mins, still a packed crowd and overall awesome atmosphere. Def would suggest this for you, OP.
